Killing Time

Junkguy, you make some of the, if not the most, fun mods for Jedi Knight. I have complete faith in your capabilities.

This mod looks friggin sweet!!! I couldn't tell it was JK. I wasn't sure if it was just a JK conversion for another game.

Uh, I really don't see why people are so astonished by this. All it is, is a face model with a face texture, the rest is just SSRPro and akimbo guns, that aren't even in the hands correctly. It needs a lot of work, and it's going to need a lot of help, if it's going to be anything more than the semi-ok Dark Fist.

I must agree with Kirby. Might as well just release the models/skins as a patch for SSRpro because thats all it really looks like :/

I have to agree with Jenny and Kirby on this one, if you notice in the second shot, his thumb goes right through the gun and he's holding the gun too close to himself in the fourth shot.

You haven't disappointed me with any of your mods yet Junkguy! Keep at it.

Killing Time is not the same as SSR 4000 Pro. SSR was a sniper rifle mod, with the slow-mo concept as an extra feature. Killing Time focuses on the slow-mo concept, which many people have been wanting. Although some people have been constructively criticising the face model, the point of this mod is not the face model (the character model is temporary, anyway). Instead, the point of this mod is fun gameplay, which cannot be seen from screenshots until one has played the mod themselves. The screenshots mainly give you a glimpse of some of the weapon models.

Gun models are much better than those in SSR. The models you see in the screenshots are not finished - I have been improving the models and animations recently and will continue to do so. Any imperfections you see in the screenshots either will be fixed, or are insignificant to the overall mod. Little details like these will not affect the gameplay and are not obvious in game. Anyways, the screenshots do not show the final product.

The enhancements that I'm adding make it very different from SSR. In fact, the whole mod has been coded from scratch. I have not used any of SSR's cogs, models, or animations. Killing Time uses new technologies and effects. Instead of outdoor jumping/dodgings like in SSR, Killing Time features intense indoor gun fights where you need to use the environment to your advantage. The guns act more realistically than SSR; they shoot faster, bullets travel faster, and kills people in a few shots depending on the gun. I have paid excessive attention to effects, especially molotov explosions and bullet impacts. These specific details contribute greatly to the overall experience, particularly when many bullets are being fired in gun fights.

SSR 4000 Pro focused on the gun. Killing Time focuses on the bullet.

Thank you, oh thank you. Exactly what we all wanted SSRPro to BE.

But you must understand, Jenny and I are commenting on what we see, and what we see isn't what it could be. I suggest a demo mod be released, or in any case, a few of us be granted beta privilages (You've had me test before, and you know my thuro[sp?] elaborations on beta testing) as to get a feel for the mod.

^ Like I said before... the mods are different. SSRPro was good in its own ways :P

The mod is still kind of early in development. The screenshots do not show every feature of the mod, nor do they reflect the quality of the final product. They only show temporary models/animations. This thread was meant to announce the mod, and the screenshots was most of what I had at the time in terms of visuals. There are many features of the mod that the screenshots do not show; I will release more screenshots in the future.

When it is released, it will be final - no public betas or demos. For the final testing, I'll test with people who are available at the time.
