Yeah I know the second level is flat. That's kinda what I was showing. The building detail. It used to be all flat like the top.

I haven't done anything to avoid the visable adjoin limit. There is less than you think.

I was thinking about those big windows, making a 3do window frame for it. And besides doors, that building exterior is about done.

I'm also planing on making atleast 90% of the buildings interiors. So far I've only gotten like, 5 of them so. But it's moving along. As long as you guys give me enough modivation it'll get finished.

Oh and yeah, I'll change the powerline poles, i'm just not looking forward to it because afterwards I'll probably have to re-position them all..

So I'm a little bit late with the post (really should drop into the Showcase forum more often ) but this is absolutely amazing Z@anardi - I don't know how you do it, but I'm loving it! Any sort of planned release date for this or is it a case of continual refinement until you're happy with the end product?

what did you use to make the models with? If jed, what version, because the latest versions(95, 951) should save 3dos in the same position they are always in(if you have 3do heirarchy set)

@Ace1, By making the powerline poles thinner. I have to make sure that the powerlines themselves are still "attached" to them and not just floating around in space. That's what I was getting at

I don't have any release dates, but it is coming along nicely and pretty quick too. I just need to get to work on cogs.

why don't you just swap the old 3do with the new one?? no template editing, and how will the powerlines become detached? are the wires separate 3dos?

Looking very nice. Kirby says the road looks blurry, it does. But more importantly I think you should have more contrast in your textures, darker darks and lighter lights instead of just midtones (ie. darken that pavement up quite a bit). Another thing, I don't understand why people do, but real trees are never shaped like lollipops, unless they are pruned cedar hedges or something. Trees have variation. I like the transparent texture for the tree, it's working for ya!

That texture would not fit. You need double yellow lines if anything unless it's one way.

That texture won't fit simply because the road is made of brick, not tar. Similar to Itally (Which I'm pretty sure this city is in reference to), the road is made of uneven bricks. Some parts of washington DC have the same roads. Tar would make this map look more industrial.

Kirby, of ypu'r talking about cobblestone roads (Roman style) than the current pics don't fit that description either. I guess it's not the best texture for the job, but then the current one isn't too appropriate either.
