That gun looks amazing, best gun in a game, ever.

I still want to redo it though... I'll put it at the top of my list tomorrow.

Anyhoo, the hud is a wip -- I was mostly worried about the background tone at the moment; the segment/dividing lines contrast too much to look good -- they probably need to be thicker anyway.

Again, I dunno what happened with the orange thing -- it was supposed to be that gold-yellow color... :\

The blue one is there for the sake of the PC version, and the black/white one was the prototype for shading the colors, and will be brightened to make a silvery one for when you are invincible (as suggested in one of the previous threads: "Make the hud a sleek, silvery color", or something like that wording)

Hand skin is a big improvment. Im liking the green hud, and thinking maybe green that fades into red as you get hurt.

I got the new hud in game -- it is a 3do.
Now actually, I didn't get the idea to use a 3do for the hud from Hell Raiser; on the contrary, I got it from Ace1. You remember how a month or two (or more) back he used jk's pov thingie for his crosshairs, since he used a thing-based pov model? Well, I borrowed that idea and a little later got the idea in my head to make a whole HUD system like that.

that's pretty cool. might suggest making the lines inside the health bars thicker, though.

The high poly Bond looks amazing, and the HUD looks really nice in-game. Good implementation, Slaw!

You need to get bond to place his left hand on the forearm of the gun, right now his hand is in the center of the reciever...

Bond's head looks great, but his pants need better everything.

By the way, I took a look at the source model for the P91, and it's honestly not bad at all. I'm not one to flash around my models, but I personally think that the lack of detail shown in the pistol has to do with texturing, not modeling.

All in all, this is shaping up to be an excellent mod! Good work, Slaw/kIRBY.

I think it would be good if you posted a major showcase thread showing how close you are to completion in each category of the mod and showing off everything you've created so far. That would not only get people more interested (you might even get SotD), but you might also encourage some people to lend a hand in terms of textures, modeling, maps, cog, etc. What do you think?

that looks pretty impressive so far, the hand and gun looks great and the HUD is a huge step forward from the first ones we saw.

I'd suggest you try and get someone who can make a better photoshop one or something, The lines look too jagged and very MSpainty, kinda sloppy compared to the rest, but again, much better then the orginal.

Something also bothers me about the HUD just floating there in the screen... was it like that in the nightfire game? just the fact it floats there and is trasparent in the middle and through the lines once they go down kinda bothers me.... don't have an suggestion on how to make it more pleasing tho.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Odd. Especially considering JK doesn't have colored dynamic lighting. I assume it was just accidentally edited afterwards. *shrug*

Its due to the gif image. Gifs have a max of 256 colors. The colors changed on the second image, thus it dithers more, causing what looks like a color change.

Haha, I think Junkguy "flew-the-JK-editing-coop" my friend... He was doing Doom3 mods and last I heard he got a hold of HL2, pity really. :/

Very nice... The P99 looks rather accurate, though it seems that you seem to have a strip running along the side of the barrel, that extredes outward; it shouldn't be there. I may just be that I can't tell what your model looks like in that pic. However, it just appears like the model needs some slight aesthetic tweaking in order to resemble the real thing.

As far as I can tell, the model itself [p99] is pretty accurate. My texturing job is not all that great though :(

That little line thing extruding from the barrel was supposed to be the laser site that's there in the video game.

Now I present Bond and his Q-Specs... follow the white rabbit, James ;) :p

Not to criticize the HUD, it's a good idea, but using the POV model really limits what you can do with the HUD via cog and it won't show up on the external camera. Surely you've realized this, but I'm just makin sure. :)

It all looks good btw. Here's to more mods for JK! :D
