Ok despite a hiccup on the compilation of the mod constituents, JK stargate SG1 Alpha is ready, after.... 7 years?? :rolleyes:

I'll let the 1st bunch of images speak for themseleves, then I'll post some more and answer any questions.

looking nice... looks almost like some of the halflife SG mods... and this is with the JK engine... DAmn...

so, will there be a level with this alpha? or are we stuck playing JK maps until the full release?

If you need help on that level, ruthven...

And I'm a little hesitant about the effect of dynamic lighting on some of those hand joints. It makes them look a little... disjointed.

Can anyone help me with a fault with the teaser?

I use patch commander, but... I activate it, play the game, however the 'bullets' of some other peoples weapons do not appear. However I beleive this is a fault with the teaser, because it is only with the rifle. Which when I pick up shows as Beretta.

So, there.

Also, is this supposed to work with version 1.00 or 1.01?
I'd like to know if I need to patch for this or not.

if you are refering to the old teaser and are playing it online, the weapons don't work... they may fire and stuff but it won't hit the players... might be the same for the new version... it's a single player only mod as of now...

This was playing single player. I don't know what's wrong. Maybe it's just me, or I got version with someonething, wrong with it. Anyway, I'll wait for this,a nd see how it is. Hope it's fine.

Also, the problem isn't when I'm shooting, it's when the bots are shooitng at me. the ones with the kind of rifles shoot nothing, but everything else is fine.

Some weapon templates were probably overwritten.
I haven't looked in a while so I don't remember.

The hands, and particularly those thumbs really need some work. They just look odd. It's most noticeable on the zat and handgun. Other than that looks pretty good.

2 questions, how big so far is the file? once its all been compiled, and is it possible for an ETA to start? im sure Massassi would like to start a count down for the release on its most promising mods yet:D

The texture on the knife when it's in the left hand seems to be flipped, in case you didn't notice.

there are so many bugs here and there, such as rifle bolts not showing up cos I messed with them in the main mod they become staff bolts, get hit thrice and u die! :eek:

It's not that amazing... the blocks in VJT do the exact same thing. The chairs are just lighter and move further. What would be interesting, but not really impressive, would be if they rotate. I've got a cog on my PC here that makes general physics for a chair so that when you bump into it or shoot it, it tips over. It's simulated physics, but looks good either way.
