Wow. I can't believe the crap I'm getting right now. Did I
say that his jacket was a long pelvic region. No. I was giving two examples of what was possibly wrong with the model. I was giving two examples because I couldn't tell which it was
because of the long jacket.
Also, I am not "completely slamming" Shred's work, as Grant said. And I am going to wait for an ingame model, now that I know that it sometimes looks better in-game. I fully appreciate Shred's work. I cannot model at all. All I can do is draw, and I see a problem with the proportions in his model. That is all. (Anyway, at least I'm not here nitpicking about how the model "doesn't look old enough" or whatever.)
While I am going to wait for an in-game model, I am also going to show you why I'm not just yelling out random stuff, and why I'm right about something.
BEHOLD
Normal proportions in a crappy MSPaint edit. That big blue thing is the guy's thigh, measured from his belt area, to what I think is his knee. I placed the bottom of that section at the belt area, and see how it comes to the very top of his neck? (Imagine he is looking straight forward and not smiling) Good.
NOW
Jerec's proportions. Measured from his belt (which looks to be about in the same place as the above guy) to the knee and the belt upwards. On Jerec, the thigh is longer, and comes up to the middle of his face! The region between his legs and belt is too long. What I was trying to show (and failing, apparently) is that you can't tell if the legs are too long because the pelvis is too long or the legs are too long.
And now I wait for either something to show me how I'm wrong or right.
