ok, 1st an update on mod progress.

we're having a few problems with bugs. Some new weapons (ie, weapon 11 and 12) arent working, due to jk's original 10 weapon max bin.

Jaffa stun system/zat stun stilll doesnt work, but it does on the player.

I wont give a release date until I know all is working.


I want to show you some new stuff.
new enemies, new weapon effects, new pick ups, showing off what tries to become something much greater than jk could ever achieve.

highly advanced, very deadly. The bulk of the probe is protected by a shield, and it has a rapid fire plasma caster attached. Not quite the lame excuse for a probe that the imperial jk has.

more deadly than it looks. fires small plasma laser bolts 10 times a second, with heat seeking sensors to guide its pitch and yaw

when you damage a tac sufficiently, it will crack open, firing off its shell, with a large electrical spark explosion. the remains can be seen here, with its energy crystals still inside...

and if you're lucky, you'll find a small vial of liquid naquadaa left inside. these are required to power guaould technology, such as your shields and phase system, should you choose to follow the dark path of the Gods

I know i know, i'm sorry, we're working hard to complete it, but we still got problems. if we were to release it now, it would seem strange without the extra weapons. Plus you wouldnt have the extra weapon that you require to kill advanced soliders.

Ah yes, Kull warrior. You can pick up pieces of kull warrior armour in levels, such as replacement for supercharged armour.

using Decent Pilots new armour system, which replaces F3 ir goggles, you can cycle through different armour, this is the player wearing kull armour:

you can have 4 modes of armour, none, kevlar, advanced ceramic, and kull,. Heres the pick up for the ceramic, which can be found in fieldpacks, and replacement for powerboost.

I have nothing constructive to say except to comment that this stuff is wicked AWESOME. I haven't been following your mod's development much, but... This is single-player, right? And if so, are the levels done?

the bow doesnt shoot, it frickin annihilates anything in front of it.

Low energy mode - fast firing orbs fire out.

Medium energy mode - all guaould weapons are deactivated from a beam.

High energy mode - all guaould enemies are detected and annihilated into gas from a dematerialisation beam.

levels are only being started. we need to get the mod out 1st, and yes its sp.

Sgfan and anyone else [with my approval] is allowed partial ownership of the mod if they can turn it into a successful mp mod.


The mod will then be slightly redone for the levels. Though the levels wont be a patch, it'll be a full installation.

I've been coming on the showcase forums for two years (i think :D ) only the see the updates on this! As I see it's the best thing in there.

I know the feeling, but It'll be well worth the wait. I just figured out the weapon bugs. (feels good now 'cuz I spent hours last night trying to solve it to no avail) We are making progress. :)

Lookin good, lookin very good. I honestly doubt that there is a better stargate mod out there right now.
I don't have much time on my hands right now, but I could probably take a look at some of those bugs for ya.

Jaffa enemies show sign of injury/death, depending on how they die.

This jaffa (using thrawns pretty face :p) gets his sh** ruined by a staff. You can see the plasma burn in the armour, and the blood on his head.

New level creature, guaould larvea. Dont worry, they cant enter your skull. In fact right now they cant really do anything, its just a gimmiick.

and yay I was the first to say that finally hahaha. :cool: :p

Lookin good, but some animation probs to fix (:p), my suggestion, to get the best placement is to use JOKE to put the weapon model as part of a player model and save it seperately and then use puppet jedi to animate, to get it lookin clean.

its all looking incredible
but i don't know if its just me but the flash light seems to drag the whole thing down,
it just doesn't seem like light its too angular,
i don't know ****
but wouldn't just regular lightsources in levels work fine like in jed but if you edit it somehow to only work on a peripheral scope from the flashlight.
then it might look more realistic,
either that or i will just never use the flash light
