my crappy 32 meg card gives an average of 30-50 at 1024x768

aye.

Only thing I don't like much is the floor texture looks a bit to clean. The wall texture is beautiful and grungy, and the floor texture is beautiful and... not so grungy.

having said that, the whole level looks completely professional, and from a game that was made within the last 6 months.

in better lighting you can see theres a lot of grunge at the sides of the floor. The base floor is probably swept clean, and all the crap goes to the sides.

Unfortunately, not all the textures tile well. :gbk:

How many years has it been? And he's still working on it. :D Well technically the mod is finished, he just has to test out the static.jkl resource loading idea that's been floating around for the last few weeks.

I could possibly code you something so that lights randomly go out and he comes from his little cubby hole to fix them... or the time there will be so short and hes a nut job that nothin will get fixed.

Tho, could have a comic flair in which as soon as he fixes one light, another one burns out, and back and forth. :em321: :p

However, I know I'm not worthy enough with a showcase as beautiful as that. *bows before Ruthven*

Why does the room look so foggy/dusty in some shots, but perfectly clear in others? (i.e. the gun is really black in some shots, and grey in the others)

I don't mean to bust your bubble or anything, but why not put the resources that won't load in the jk resource directory or in the levels. Heck, why not just release an unzippable version that goes into the resource directory, atleast until things are fixed.

Something tells me that is so obvious that it's no help whatsoever. Also, a suggestion: with a reputation like yours, be a bit more humble and delicate when presenting a suggestion.

the finished levels (if i ever get that far) will be 5-6 levels with its own mod implimented.

But that'll take a long time.

I want the mod to work for sp, and a cut down version (70%) to work for mp.

Loading the stuff into resources doesnt solve all the problems. My mod is still 1200 files and about 90 megs unzipped. Thats almost twice the size of the original res2.gob, and i still need res2.gob for the mod to work in sp.


So, yeh appreciate the suggestion, but jk isnt an easy mistress.

If you want Mrs.JK to put out, you REALLY have to be smooth, and work hard.

You do not understand the scope of JKs resource loading quirks. You may not have known, but quite a few us expert JK editors have been helping Ruthven with this issue for a while.

He's yet to get back to me on the static.jkl thing. :(
