Cool lighting in the third picture! Still lookin' great. I like how the consoles on the second picture are not all blue.

I'm working on it. Perhaps I shouldn't have posted a picture of it, but I just wanted to let people know that I'm still working on this. The essence of this particular tunnel isn't in how it looks but the scripting that takes place in it. A screenshot doesn't do it justice, basically. Also I have improved the looks of it since then. :ninja:

so i exceeded the 1000 entity limit, and had to make a few adjustments. Right now I'm at around 999 entities and I still have a ways to go, so... I need to make another level! :neckbeard:

This is fantastic, I am simply flabbergasted by the amount of creativity and work you pour into making an out of date engine look, sound, and feel like it was created yesterday by a team of elite coders and level designers.
You must finish this, for the good of all that is :awesome:.

One thing you can't see in the last two pictures is the cave-like ambiance I added by having ambient sounds of night time creatures, such as peepers (pretty much like the antlion caves in HL2ep2). It's eerie and quite awesome when playing. The sounds are also legal. :P

[EDIT: Yes, I am working on smoothing out the lighting in the last picture. That whole area is still very much a work in progress.]

In the third picture the spotlights at the top of the wall are highlighting the exact same spot of the texture as it tiles, making the tiling quite obvious... at least to me. If the scale of the texture were changed a bit, I think it would help. Bigger, rather than smaller I think.

By the way Jodo_Kast, I am open to any and all ideas/criticisms, since it is still a WIP. If you think of something that'll improve that particular area, lay it on me. :)

What I was going to say about the last one was that it just looks blocky and fake. If it's supposed to be cave-like it looks unnatural.

In JO, there was (broken) support for saving state between map transitions. The idea was to allow a user to move between maps and have their state be saved, so you could have very large levels broken into smaller ones. When I talked to Mike Gummelt at Raven about it, he said they were going to fix it for JA. I don't know if it was ever completed, but I could take a look if you think you'll use it.

An employee of Ravensoft recently said that the single player SDK for JA is set to go (5 years later, WOO) but they need permission from LucasArts. So you could probably take a look if it's released.

Really nice! Makes me want to play JO/JA all over again. Only thing that pulled me away from the whole thing was some of the textures looked bad. Almost like they had been upscaled too high, like the wall straight in front here:

Aside from that, amazing lighting detail, good accents too like the small floor lights along the walls. Diggin' it!

Just the one on the left and back wall... im not sure what it is, pipes? Just looks stretched vertically. The ground and everything else looks perfect though.
