The following is a chat conversation between a member and an admin.

Quote:
<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2"> let me guess, Rod-Nog?

he said the staff@massasi.net email never gets replied, so I just wanted to make sure someone knew

No, we just proably ignore him heh

No need to explain your case. I'm going to talk to Sine about Rod-nog and his behavior.

SAJN/Rod has been constant trouble ever since 99, chat, forums, and otherwise</font>

The Following is a quote from Em Playa

Quote:
<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">And Rod-Nog, go shove a twinkie up your *** you fat ****.</font>

I am sick and goddamn tired of being treated like crap. I e-mail the massassi staff because usually I have a problem and I am trying to solve it. As you can see above, I now know why I never get any responses, because I am not good enough. To everyone I am just a piece of useless human flesh taking up space. I am considered a troll, spammer, and just a total piece of trash. I post an innocent joke and I get bashed. I am not allowed to be sarcastic. If I am I get bashed. I am not allowed to have an opinion, because it seems that it is always wrong!

I’d e-mail my problem to the massassi staff, but apparently nobody cares about these forums anymore! If I use my time to write an e-mail to you, I expect to get one in return.

I try to be nice to people, I try not to bash people, I try to respect the rules, but there is always someone bashing on me. I am sick of being held back because these “Older more mature people’ dislike me. It is okay for people to bash me, but if I bash people I get banned?!

I am a good person, with good intentions. I have opinions and I like to express them. If you don’t like my opinions, that’s fine, disagree, but don’t tell me how stupid and wrong I am.

Em gets off with a slap on the wrist, if I pulled a stunt like that I’d get banned for ever.

All I ask is to be treated with respect. I try to start over, I try and apologize, I try and act good, but nobody wants to take me seriously, even when I act it. Nobody will allow me to start over. I just want to get along with everyone, and I’m sure everyone wants to get along with me. Nobody likes to fight. So why not let me start over? Why not treat me with respect? Why not respect my TOTALLY WRONG EVIL opinions?

Please, do not lock this thread, or delete it, E-mail never EVER works. It never has for me. The staff could care less if I fell off a cliff, and I’m sure some of the members wouldn’t care either. So just let me talk, please. This message isn’t just for the admins, it is for all massassians to read. I just want things to be GOOD like they used to.

This reminds me of the story of the boy who yelled "Wolf!".

How about you keep a lower profile, not respond to just any thread with content-empty replies and exercise some aloofness

He makes a valid point guys. You didn't give him a fresh start, why shouldn't you? C'mon think about it, if it were him what WOULD you have done? And he doesn't make content-empty posts most the time, it's usually him just kidding around. If you can't take a joke then you don't belong in Massassi in the first place.

There's a thin line between "Fair Use" and "Abuse" when it comes to absurd humor.

He crossed it.

hmmmm...Rod vs. Em. I'd pay to see that. I hope you gave him hell.

But seriously, when you were SAJN I didn't really notice anything bad about you, but for some reason when you assumed the name Rod-Nog, you seem to have gone.....bad.

And I don't think it's so much people don't like your opinion, they just don't like the way you present your opinion. From what I've seen lately, you have been tactless, offensive, insulting, emotional, and other things. Of course, that seems to be how quite a few massassians are. The only difference between you and them is you post more than one or two lines are singled out because of that.

As far as I can tell, and I've been here since a bit before the bans were lifted, he hasn't abused ANYTHING yet. He's just had people judge him on his past so far. Lay off and give him a second chance?

Yes, well there is a thin line between "Polite" and "Bash" and I have noticed many many people cross it.

I am going to try and avoid debate threads from now on. I never was good at presenting things.

/goes back to memories of his 6th grade report.

In the 6th grade I wrote a report about the future, and there was some Hitler type character as the bad guy in the story. The day I presented that was also the day I found out my teacher was Jewish.

*shudders*

But, yea, I think I'll ditch my Rod-Nog self. That causes alot of problems with it's name alone. "Hey Egg-Nog, STFU! lolll I am so witty!"

Hebedee, I've been sending e-mails since 2000. I have never gotten one reply, out of the maybe dozen or two e-mails that I've sent. I gave up on e-mail, and since this is problem deals with EVERYONE, I decided to post it. Plus Heeb, as that admin said "we just proably ignore him".

Oh and I think my last e-mail was called "HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE FORUMS" or something like that.

I'm sure admins have thought of this before, but why not start a new "email us with your problems" account. Like you said, it's impossible to check it because it's bombarded with viagra ads. (Send some of those my way please.) So why not register help@massassi.net or diversify it more? Have problems@massassi.net for bug/banning related issues, and have contact@massassi.net for other misc. issues that you need to contact the staff for. This way it'll be a bit longer before the spam starts getting sent in again.

Like I said before, it's probably been thought of before, and there's probably a reason it's not implimented, but just in case. My 2 cents.

I am rolling around laughing reading that first post... That is so... yeah... no.

You're not trying to do anything but be banned. You never comment with an actual purpose. It's always some smart assed remark or useless comment that either derails the thread, or is just plain unneeded, annoying, and stupid.

You try to start over and act good? right.

Maybe actually start doing the things you are saying you are doing (while not doing even close to them at the same time) and people wont hate you.

On the one hand, Sajn, you don't do anything really bad.

On the other hand, you're not very respectable, and you leave yourself wide open for some sort of slam or another.

Seriously. To the more malicious, almost all of your posts stop just short of a "please slam me" notice.

Well Check, he does many things that are just within the border of punishable things, so he gets away with it. Bending the rules with almost every post you make should be a bannable offense.

I think the reason you get so much **** is because you have yet, as long as you've been here, to contribute something worthwhile to the forums. It's either pictures of you stuffing twinkies into your mouth, smart-assed replies to serious threads, or completely asinine and trollish "opinions" like the Bush=terrorist crap. I believe you, with a lot of reservation, when you say you're trying to behave normally. But damn, there's really no nice way to put this - you're supremely annoying. People will probably treat you with more respect whe--if you grow up.

That's not an excuse for people to flame you, though, so if you can't get through to one admin, try another.

...Look, since we're all being really blunt here, I'll go ahead and say this. Cazor used to be annoying as hell, but he realized it and he made a conscious effort to stop. Maybe SAJN is trying, but a lot of us are none the wiser.

Also, Em Playa, rule of thumb: words in which the third to last letter is 'i', and the second to last is 'n', usually end in 'g'.

Please, everyone calm down. Checksum, we're not getting on people's asses. If anything, this thread is intended for any other purpose, save off-topic posts.

Rod-Nog, I have never really seen you as annoying and I don't believe I've ever bashed you; if I have, I apologize and it was probably just me being my usual self and did not intend to single you out over anybody else. (It's like that bumper sticker: "I'm not racist; I hate everyone"). [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Lately, you have been drawing a little more attention to yourself than usual, and although I know your intentions are good, some see some of your more meaningless posts and threads as immature and trollish. However: honestly, I can't think of an instance when you got out of hand, but it might be wise to keep a low profile for a bit and let things cool off.

As for the personal attacks: In no way is ANYONE justified in attacking you, Rod. That attack on you by Em Playa is despicable, and even more despicable is the fact that Em comes on this thread and instead of offering an apology as one might expect, simply says, "Heh". I wholeheartedly am in support of your attempt to "start over", though I really don't see any reason why that's necessary.

Some people just have the need to bash people, for whatever reason, and I figure they went after you because of your recently "high profile". I wouldn't take it too personally.

As far as the staff, yes, I believe much of the staff has become ineffective at solving such matters, and it saddens me to know you've been emailing them so often with no replies. I don't really have an answer to that.

Anyway, good luck, and don't sweat it too much. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

He's posted some pretty dumb comments in showcase threads, too. I'm just glad the majority werent in mine, because i myself wouldnt have just let it go by. The only worthless crap i want in my showcase threads is my screens :P

I agree with Dj Yoshi and Checksum...

I've been going through many of Rod-Nog's posts and found nothing worthy of any poor treatment. I found no posts where he was rude or offensive.

I found 1 or 2 posts the possibly could qualify as "spam" but in a regular discussion forum, open for discussion about anything, what can really be considered spam? Granted I did find a few posts within the same thread from both of his IDs (SAJN_Master and Rod-Nog) but one was the nick-name thread, so that is a somewhat justified post, the others weren't quite as easily justified, but still nothing to get up-in-arms about.

All I'm saying is that if he is trying to "get his act together" don't you think you should give him a chance to?

It may not be that big a deal to you, but you're not Rod-Nog. Some people have a greater need to belong to a community like this than you might perhaps. So please, try to think of things from his perspective. To be honest, after what Sine posted about you going through the same phase (as I must admit I did also), you'd be a little more sympathetic!
