OK ok ok the situation that's going on here is that there are lots of n00bs joining.
Now there are two stances people take on this. VETERANS think that these n00bs are a bad thing and tend to be pretty harsh on them, and can extend the same treatment to pretty much anybody who they don't exactly know. It's a defense mechanism. The NOOBS think they have just as much of a right to post
whatever they want whenever they want because they were clever enough to find a site that their friends haven't or something like that. It's an inferiority complex or something like that. Anyway, noobs post utter crap so that people will take notice of them (Attention Seeking) and they don't really care if they **** people off. In fact it's quite a laugh to see how the "54d l0s3r5" can't cope with a bit of stick.
When people display n00bish behaviour (e.g. posting rubbish on serious threads, posting rubbish threads, flaming Vets etc...) people are suddenly polarised to either taking the Veteran's approach or the Noobs approach, and the result is a wholly unnecessary conflict.
In Rod's case he's (from what I've heard) posted sarcastically on most threads, and that in fairness is a bit excessive, it's like the same punchline again and again and again - it's eventually going to hurt. But the occaisional silly comment has to be taken for what it is, not a crazy subjective view on it like "Rod-Nog only registered 3 months ago, he's a n00b, me no like n00b, me CRUSH" or to just post more random rubbish because you're an annoying noob.
So in conclusion, Wraith Squadron would make a great game.
Oh and Rick McCallum loves you.
