I like Gamecube. *shrug*

I can't quote hardware specs or anything, it's just my preference. Has the most games I want to play.
2004-09-03, 10:11 PM #3
I'm hooked on Xbox right now, however all three respective systems have their pros and cons.

I'll say PS2 for its library of titles and genres of games.

That's what should define which system you like. Nothing else.

Xbox for me.

I do not like XBox controls. They were cumbersome to me. I love the GC controls.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

GameCube, for the same reason as Tyler.
2004-09-04, 2:47 AM #13
Gamcube. It has all the games I want and the controller fits my hands like a glove. Unlike that Xbox controller.

*shakes fist at Xbox*

I went with PS2 on account of Final Fantasy. Plus, I started with a PSX way back in 2000-ish.
You'll see it's all a show, keep 'em laughing as you go. Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

Who says that? FF12 is going to PS2, as I'm sure FF13 and such will as well.

Personally, I like PS2 and Xbox. I'm stricly against GCN. Why? Because nintendo went retarded (Read Nintendo Power. You'll see what I mean. They rate good games bad, bad games good, and also try to look better than their competitors by listing false pros and cons for the other systems.) , and they also don't make their systems able to play the older gamses. I mean, everyone else is doing it, why not you? Oh that's right you're 'unique' or whatever.

My vote is for PS2

The reason I am for Gamecube is for these 3 reasons:

1. PS2s are plagued with problems, especially the older systems. They had heating problems, the verticle stand kept certain disks from reading, it won't play some DVDs for no reason, and it only has support for 2 controllers!

2. I love the exclusive games GCN has. Metroid Prime (soon 2) Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda, Eternal Darkness, etc.

3. The controllers. I absolutely HATE the PS controllers. The sticks are far too loose for me, and don't fit my hands. The gamecube controller fits my hand like a glove.

ps2, because it's cool to hate microsoft, and gamecube sucks.

They support 8 or somesuch for sports games, and 2 link thingies. (Support 4 controllers each) Some great games like Time Splitters 2 support 4 players, which is always fun. Plus, the vert stand sucks anyways.

I hate the GCN controller. It's not symetrical, so it's harder to get used to.

Thankyou very much.

GameCube. :)

I have a PS2 and a Gamecube and personally I like the Gamecube. Even though it falls alittle short of the PS2 for graphics the load time on the PS2 is pathetic... the Gamecube at times is practically instant.

Plus Gamecube has Metriod Prime... PS2 does not. :)

You must never of read Xbox Magazine, they do the exact same thing.

Oh wait...so does Playstation's magazine...

Don't make their systems able to play older games? Game Boy Advance can play Game Boy games. Nintendo DS can play Game Boy Advance and Game Boy games.

Backwards compatability really isn't that big of a deal.
2004-09-04, 9:51 AM #29
It forces you to buy the older systems, or remakes for the newer ones. I know about that Gameboy crap. Gameboy is good, GCN is bad. They screwed up on GCN. Period. I don't know why so many people like it.

BTW: The magazine thing is wrong, or at least in a sense. PS2 and Xbox don't rate good games bad and bad games good, and they don't make fun of the GCN as much as the Nintendo things make fun of the others. Yeah it sucks, but nintendo went bad. Personally, I read GMR. Why? Because it covers all systems, and is all a gamer really needs :p Why Waste money on a magazine for each system.

PS: This thing of massassi e-mailing me is driving me INSANE. *goes to disable*

Let's make a comparison:

Sony has it easy with backwards compatibility. Only one older system. Uses a common media format the PS2 can already use anyways, so no additional hardware cost is required.

Microsoft doesn't have to worry about it with the X-Box.

Nintendo GBA can play ANY older Game Boy game, due to their apparent commitment to backwards compatibility. The Nintendo DS will be able to play any Game Boy game at the cost of a second game slot.

As for their console systems, backwards compatibility is IMPOSSIBLE because of the differences in data storage, so I consider it acceptable that they chose the only alternative: porting older classics to the newer systems.

Yeah. I'd say Nintendo is the winner, and thus the best with backwards compatibility.

2004-09-04, 10:05 AM #31
They could've, you know, put a cartridge slot in the GCN :). Plus, knowing them, the next system will use normal size discs, and putting in the GCN discs will be a hassle. (At least it would for me :\ )

GameCube. Why? Two words: Killer 7.
2004-09-04, 11:23 AM #33
And despite its complete lack of market share, the GameCube might actually win! What a boilover... PS2 fans, your system needs you!

XBox for me with Gamecube a close second. XBox because it is the most powerful of the bunch and manages to snag some exclusive "PC-ish" titles. Couple that with XBox Live and you have a winning system. Gamecube for some of the exclusive titles, size, and superior performance (at least to the PS2). I don't own a PS2. It was a disappointment to me. There are many exclusive titles I would like to play but the performance is not up to par with the other consoles. I will probably buy a PS3, however (as well as XBoxNext and Nintendo? if released).

The Gamecube has far superior graphics to the PS2.

And the PS2 has Snake-Eater. The Gamecube does not.

The PS2 has Gran Turismo. The Gamecube does not.

The PS--I think you're seeing where I'm going with this.

Yes, well. I AM special.

For some bizzare reason my thought process omitted the fact that you were indeed quoting someone else and making indeed a parody of it.

I blame society on this one.
