Hostility towards Bush
2004-10-10, 8:41 PM #121
My goodness, this thread sure changed directions quite a bit during its short lifespan. It started off stating how some people viscously hate Bush. Now it's gotten so far off track that people are feeling compelled to point out the obvious fact that WWII was clearly a multi-nation effort.

Massassian debates are always so exciting. :D

But yes, Wolfy, you are completey correct. Not only is GHORG confused on Iraq, but he doesn't have his history quite right either. :)

Explain how the US won the war by themselfs.

I put that statement in to try and stop Cougar from changing the issue, unfortunately I think it just confused him...

Cougar, I can tell you anything from how OBOE and H2S electronic warfare worked to how many Brazilian troops there were in Italy 1943, to how many surviving Wellington bombers there are, WW2 history(excluding the Eastern front) is never something I've had problems with.

My point was the arguments used in (mostly) Iraq-debate threads. Feel free to misread my post again.

Feigning ignorance is never good for establishing credibility unless done in an overtly-sarcastic way. If you want to debate, don't waste my time with stupidity and then whine when we accuse you of sounding stupid.

Or you can just ignore my post and flame me. Somebody lock this...

I wish they made a rule that you can't debate here... some of the 12 year olds on this site obviously can't understand the concept of freedom of speech yet. I agree lock this crap.

I always laugh when people bring up Freedom of Speech on the board like it actually means anything

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for being respectful of other people, but Freedom of Speech is a privilidge onthese boards. Not a right

Twice. :D Stephenson knows what he's talking about, and I don't see how anyone who's read that book can think the U.S. won the war on its own (comment not directed at you, of course. I lost track of this "debate" a looong time ago).

Anyway, Bischoff is my favorite character. >.>

I haven't finished it yet. I'm taking a break. I'm at the part where in the present Randy guy met the daughter of the military guy in the past, and they're talking about some bigshot who is into S&M. The book is kind of dragging right now, but I really need to pick it back up.
