The guy behind the guy behind the guy. Will do anything and has done everything to attain his goals... accuses rival politicans of pedophilia, homosexuality, etc... and actually predecides electoral outcome like this by ****ing up the uncritical mob, which is most of the American people. In his most recent work, making Bush (objectively an insanely incapable man) president and keeping him president, the campaign against Kerry and his warcredentials were of his doing - including letting Bush say he's against third-party namecalling like that.

If you vote Bush, you actually vote for Rove.

So please, just ****ing don't.

I liked the part where you said the American people are uncritical sheep and then you uncritically accepted the opinions of the authors of this book as the final authority on Karl Rove's role
A desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy.

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

Yeah man, glad you liked it. It was my favorite also, and I commend you on your reading comprehension. Your praise is the reason I write stuff like this.

One - If the dumbass in the White House is a reflection of the voting behavior of American citizens, then yes, a majority of them are uncritical sheep. It's not Americans only of course., since they're no smarted or dumber than the global population... It's just that, well, they're the ones who voted Bush.

They voted wrong

Two - what opinions man? Have you seen this guy's curriculum? Read up, and fast preferably.

Three - I'm really cool, and I ironically interpret the writings of others on internet chatboards! LOL!

No dude, there is a thing like voting wrong. You think democracy is ultimately good and flawless, and you make the error thinking people know what's best for them. I'm a big supporter of democracy too, yet as a student of human thought processes, behavior and philosophy, I have reservations on it, and I am far too well aware to say things like There is no voting wrong. Just people who don't agree with your opinion. There is man. The tangible, breathing truth is alive today.

I can honestly say there's an objective way of determining peoples adequacy to a certain extent. Intelligence, political history, motivations, personality, charisma are only a fraction of the arguments pro adequacy, and Bush is lacking in all fields.

I also agree with dry gear, and I think posting about this of all places on massassi is maybe a way of sadomasochism. Hmmmmmmm... maybe on philosophical boards, since the argument of 'people not knowing what's best for them' might generate good replies.

2004-10-10, 12:47 PM #9
Yes, because you being a genius, are totally qualified to determine if someone voted wrong or if someone is unfit for political office. No, predetermined bias doesn't play a part at all in your decision. Your statement isn't ridiculous, you're just of a higher thought than the rest of us. And those that think the way your statement was posted was offensive to the extreme are just whiners that cling to archaic ideas such as tact and politeness. All hail the mighty Tenshu!

Your masterful manipulations of the English language have left me confused. Care to translate this into something an uncritical sheep like me can understand?
2004-10-10, 1:21 PM #13
I don't understand what the problem is. If Bush has an advisor that coordinates his campaign and such, so what? All politicians do, at least when they reach high levels.

You're a student of philosophy?

Wow!

That's a field that will take you places....

I don't mind philosophy, but if you make it your life study and act like you're a f'in genius because of it...then you sir are officially a dumb ***.
2004-10-10, 2:26 PM #17
I think that was a little too harsh, Demon. I think he's off base and should use abit more tact but he's obviously passionate and emotional in his beliefs.

Tenshu, I'll PM you with a link to another message board I go to, you can start a debate about whether people can vote wrong or not there, and they'll be much more open to it.

I wouldn't normally say this, but to back up Tenshu, I will also say that Bush is the wrong choice. Sometime's it is just a difference in opinion, but not this time. Bush is a truly bad president.

Avenger is the only person in this thread so far to say anything about voting wrong. And while I happen to agree with him, that hasn't really been the focus of discussion.

Again, nobody's even mentioned Bush, and there certainly hasn't been any mention of his ability as President.
Honestly, It's like you guys are reading a different thread.

It's funny, because Rove doesn't ever lie. He just plants a seed of thought into the minds of the masses, and lets their imaginations take over. It's actually very interesting.

You want philosiphy?

There is no wrong or right, there is only the pursuit of hapiness.

Bush made the voters of the 2000 election happy. Now there is no way, at all, that you can call it the right or wrong decision. I've used your own logic of philosiphy against you. Now go away.

He was VOTED into OFFICE. It's called a DEMOCRACY. In-fact, in saying that there's a wrong decision, you're completelly disagreeing with the idea of a DEMOCRACY.

kirbs: there is a philosophy about people voting the wrong way, mainly by majority tyranny, called (classical) Republicanism, mainly civic Republicanism. But it's obvious Tenshu is not arguing from that stand point. He's arguing from the stand point of a liberal that hates anything conservative or Republican and uses anything he can, whither it be truth, spun, or an outright lie, to justify this hatred. Many hard-core liberals do this and a lot of hard-core conservatives do vice versa.

And how is it some people have not yet found out that it is not what you say, but how you say it that matters? Is it really that hard of a principle to pick up on? Or do some people enjoy the negative attention?
