I guess I should use more smilies often. Apparently people take my comments to seriously without them.

Wow, you got poor reading skills. Where did I ever say that a Christian understands? I clearly stated that NO ONE can comprehend it.

Yeah, I guess you can call it a "charasmatic" church. I just call it non-denominational.

Covenant Community Fellowship Church, non-denominational, non-doctrinal (if that's a word). We rely on the Bible alone.
My views do not necessarily represent those of my church. People seem to consider me a liberal Christian, but I'm actually not. It's just how I hold my convservative beliefs that makes it seem that way. (i.e. not forcing my beliefs on others.) Or maybe not. *shrug*

Actually, I'm lead guitarist at my church, so according to people who think anything not a hymn is evil or that certain instruments are works of the devil, I'm going to hell.
I think God should've added a commandment for people like that: "Thou shalt not be a freakin' moron." :p

Come to think of it, we don't even have a "churchy" name.
Oh NO!! Mine either. Well, not until we tacked "church" on the end of it about a year ago. People thought we were some organization like an Eagle's Lodge.

Oh, and according to rumors, we worship idols and sacrifice animals.

Technically. Mormon it's my damn grandma's fault too.

I prefer to refer to myself as the lowest common denomination, cause it makes people look at me funny and leave me alone, but it once got christains and mormons fighting over who wanted to make me accept Jesus Christ as my lord and personal saviour.

So I denied them thrice and left.

"Sunrise" doesn't even come close to being a church name. .It's also the name of a local car dealership, as well as a skiing resort up the hill, but we had the name first, and we're more known than either of those two organizations.

But the definition of agnostic that I'm familiar with doesn't have anything to do with belief or nonbelief of existance, but with it being impossible to prove.

Well, not really. agnostic vs. atheist is a difficult one. I think it goes that agnostics do not believe in the existance of God, while atheists believe that God does not exist. There's a subtle but important difference. But 'agnostic' is all too often used by people that are too lazy to have an opinion at all.

By way of clarification, I live the moral standards of the LDS church, but do not necessarily have complete faith in it. I was born and raised in it and thus am rooted in its traditions, but I prefer a scientific viewpoint whenever it is available.

Officially, I guess I'm Church of England protestant. The fact that I'm a pretty strong atheist negates that. Damn you parental control on the census!

I would call myself Non-Denomenational, but my dad is a vicar in the church of England (Anglican/protestant.) However, I don't really think he's Anglican/Protestant... he has some pretty radical ideas as church of england preists go (gasp! There is such thing as the holy spirit, and God actually wants to bless us  )

I'm probably more charasmatic than conservative christian. We believe in the gifts of the holy spirit, and we don't feel that certian instruments are wrong or bad.

Now, there seem to be alot of people of faith at these forums, especially christians... why do we have a 3 (correction) 4 page thread on the length of a man's manliness? :)

Because they're not too uppety and supressed to stop them from asking the questions that bother them and force them into ignorance?

Just out of curiosity (and not intending to be offensive), how many of you actually are practicing Christians? By that, I mean not Christian from some technicality, or you try to live by the Bible as much as you can.
I know a lot of people consider themselves Christian because they believe in God... which in itself is inaccurate.
And yes, I used to be the same. Before I followed it, I still considered myself a Christian. In retrospect, however, I would not still consider myself as such during that time.
