The Bush praise thread
2004-11-05, 2:16 PM #1
Many Bush-supporting Americans hate the phenomenon known as Bush-bashing, so this thread is all about the praise.

Rules:

1. Say only good things about US president George W. Bush. Please note that "I like him because he's screwing up the USA which is always good because I hate America!" etc. are not considered "good things" in this thread.

2. If you disagree with someone's praise, DO NOT POST ABOUT IT.

I will start:

Bush has character. Unlike many politicians, he's not dull.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

I respect that he's taking a moral stand in his policies. Even if everyone doesn't agree with him, his stances are clear.

Bush makes hi-smegging-larious slips-o'-t'-tongue.

I like how people here physically cannot keep a thread on topic.

I like Bush because he doesn't change his views/policies to try to make people happy. He stays true to who he is. I also agree with his moral ideas.
2004-11-05, 2:56 PM #14
Erm, I've known for a while about "internet 2" but throwing in the third, and any relation of the internet to bush at all threw me off. What does he have to do with it?

Ubuu, stop hijacking the thread. That is all I have to say.

I agree with others, I think the best part of Bush is he realizes that the UN is a corrupt organization which does not have the balls to back anything up. He puts the country first.

His opponent can say a lot more than that he has won three purple hearts. He can say that he joined the army during a time of war to defend his country, rather than dodge a draft to save his own skin.

I like him because he's a normal guy. Everyone calls him dumb, but that's not true. He's not the brightest guy to hold the office, but he is by no means stupid. His folksy language and grammar screw-ups make him more human and likable to me than the normal dull politician who strives for complete perfection. Bush's imperfection actually makes him more human and a better person to me.

As someone else said, he seems like he'd be a good next-door neighbor and someone you'd want to invite over Sunday afternoon to watch the game with.

And if you want to call him stupid, remember that he is surrounded by some of the smartest people in Washington, so he's getting good advice on which to base his decisions with.

Plus, he has goes with his gut instinct and doesn't waste time pondering possibilities, worrying about political correctness, and dealing with pansies (i.e. France, UN). He goes and gets the job done and doesn't take **** from anyone. I find that an admirable quality that few politicians have.

I like Bush because his victories bring out the ******* in whiny, illiterate people with an inability to follow an author's request so that I can laugh at their obviously dull life.

So, you're scared that he ahs convictions, is a likeable guy, gets jobs done, and doesn't look like a caricature? not much to be scared of. unless, of cource, you are meaning ubuu and cazor, in which case you really shouldn't be talking.
