Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Go ahead and think that, but he's not bringing into account the whole picture. It would seem to me logical to assume that x number of Catholics couldn't care less, while y number of people do who are not Catholic.

It is my opinion that x~y, as long as we're pulling stats from our various orifices, and here's why:

Given the set of Catholic people, it is logical to assume that a higher percentage of people in this set care about the pope than the set of non Catholics, because they're well... Catholic. The set of non-Catholics is much larger, but a lower percentage of the people in that set care about the pope's condition, so it's not a leap to assume that x and y are somewhat equivalent, with y being larger if I had to wager a guess.

When you take into account bloated membership numbers I'm going to guess somewhere around 1 billion people is probably pretty accurate, but to claim more is pushing it in my humble opinion.

Congratulations.

Now answer this - WHAT THE HELL DOES IT MATTER???

What the hell does it matter that the sky is blue? If someone claims it's red, you'll probably get a few people correcting them, because it's just not true.

So in other words "I agree with you, Yoshi, even though I've been arguing that all this time".

Wow.

It's never a good idea to put words in someone's mouth unless it's a very accurate paraphrasing. Here, you are doing it directly. If you must do such a distasteful thing, try to be more subtle next time.

Except that after 5 pages of arguing, you are agreeing with him.

This is amazing. A four-page argument about the exact number of people who care about the pope.

Frankly, I'm surprised. Think of all the things mentioned in this thread (George Bush, 9/11, Hitler, etc.) and it hasn't gone off topic and turned into an argument about something else.

You must be confusing me with someone else.

Wow. Just wow.

Next time, if you intend to disagree with someone, first...disagree with them.

You agreed 1 billion was a fairly logical assessment of the amount of people who care about the pope, the source of this 1 billion does not matter as I have stated before that there are more people outside of catholicism that care about the pope. So in other words, you agreed with me.

The fact that people are posting at all, postive or negative, shows that they care one some level.

I think you lot all need to understand that just because we're agreeing it doesn't mean you're not wrong!

I already proved WITH MATH that you suck.

That means your opinion is MATHMATICALLY INVALID.

ALL THAT IS NOT MATHMATICALLY VALID ISN'T POSSIBLE FOO!

Therefore your opinion carries no weight what so ever.
