Tossed across the briny waves by pirates wily,
- Ours is a world of subtlety. The pirates of today
pirate data, not gold. Their loot rides the airwaves.

- Recall those 10 day long playlists.
Whose worth cannot be expressed in a mere smiley.
- Here I imply the digital nature.

The very same spirit that inspired free love
- We're taught to share, but there are some things
'the man' does not want us to give freely.
Bore me across the ages to my present state,
- Music has been around a looong time.
Passing from one to the next, tracked from above
- It's passed through a lot of media, and now it's tracked.
In hidden vaults connected in the night late.
- These hidden vaults the My Music folders of
late night downloaders.

Though trapped in time, my soul they will never take.
- Music files are always the same, but the spirit
of the song itself is never captured as in a picture.
(dude, they're so much better live)
Over and over, I am enjoyed by my covert questers,
- You can play songs over and over and still get that rush.
But unfortunately, instead of me they often find a fake,
- But these days 'scramblers' abound with horrible quality.
And find themselves in a jail while the wound festers.
- And the vigilant agents of the RIAA are yet on the prowl,
though the problem of illegal filesharing goes unsolved.

If FCTuner04 doesnt want to post, here's a logic riddle:

Two planes take off at the same exact moment. They are flying across the Atlantic. One leaves New York and is flying to Paris at 500 miles per hour. The other leaves Paris and is flying to New York at only 450 miles per hour ( because of a strong head wind ). Which one will be closer to Paris when they meet?

As for the Hint:

I have currently been the subject of much debate,
- Illegal filsharing has been big news.
I am not bad, but to me there has been many a solution,
- Music in digital format isn't inherently bad.
Only some three minutes of me does it take to sate,
- Most MP3's are around this long.
And kindle in the heart the desire for revolution.
- Look no further than good ol' Rock and Roll.

In truth, I will die by neither evil empire nor fruit,
- Can you say MSN Music? Apple iTunes? hah!
But instead will fade away with the passing of time,
- Someday MP3's will be obsolete.
Just like women no longer praise the leisure suit,
- ...I just had to. ;] And it ties in with the disco fad!
Someday too for me will the death bell chime.
- See above.

But my undoing will not be the undoing of my kind;
- Indeed, digital music will outlive the MP3 like the 8-track.
In sooth what I strive to bring man will never die.
- And music itself is eternal.
(as long as there's something to play it)
Someone somewhere another acronym will find,
- Some new file format extension, that is.
Or a higher number at the end of me will lie.
- Like maybe MP5? *cha-chink*

Neither.

Though they will meet closer to Paris.

We're triplets!

One soars high and one is rather two dimensional. The last one is different than us yet much more normal.

However, if you hear someone talk about us, we sound the same. Who are we?

Heh, I make mine too simple, I swear.

I just wanted brain because I was referring more to a "thing" than an "Idea" such as imagination.

Mothers are the menengies (Dura/Arachnoid/Pia mater). Dopamine is used as a neurotrasmitter, and the body uses opiates in part from pain control as well. In any case, move along.
