Anyone seen "Heavy Metal"? It reminded me of that as well as other things mentioned here.

BTW I saw the episode 3 trailer in the theatre before the movie, and I kept picturing the l337 subtitles from that one version of the trailer.

Thrawn, the difference between this and pulp fiction is that the stories in pulp fiction relate to each other in a big way. They're all connected.

What the heck is a "special guest director" anyway? I mean did Tarintino do a scene or two, or did he add his own little touch to the entire movie with the blood effects or something?

He did the car scene between Benecio and Clive. Rodriguez wanted him to do it to turn him to digital filmmaking.

My favorite thing in his checklist was "My Mits"

cause it looked so funny and was so un expected... and the fact that he called them mits was awesome.

I saw it tonight, and yeah, I thought it was pretty good too. Still trying to figure out how they managed to pull off some of the stuff in there without making me laugh though  I mean, they DID pull it off, but there was a voice in my head that said "why aren't you finding this stupid?"

That'll be my unique thought for this thread.

Are you sure he didnt also do the scene where he dunks Benicio's head in the toilet? I was watching Kill Bill 2 yesterday and noticed a scene almost exactly like it, where Uma dunks Daryl Hannah's head in the toilet. The only difference is The toilet wasn't urine filled in KB2, and Hannah also manages to flush the toilet and get some air.

Pretty sure. Tarantino only did one scene.

I thought the Miho slaughter scene and the arrow through the chest were both Tarentino???
Think while it's still legal.

It wouldn't surprise me.

I don't believe so.

I thought it was great. I loved those two cronies Hartigan knocks out the first time and stabs the second, who use an overly complicated way of speaking throughout their brief scenes.

As much as I'd like to, I wouldn't put it up there with Pulp Fiction, though a lot was reminiscent. It was spectacular, and my favorite of the last few years by far.
