I'm a week out from my girlfriend breaking up with me. I had tried my hardest to be the best boyfriend that I could be and things were going so wonderful. Nothing is perfect but this was pretty close. She was the best friend I could have asked for and I loved her soo much(and I still do). Unfortunately, the last couple weeks of our relationship we didn't get to see each other much. One week she was out of town looking at colleges and I was at a track meet in Indianapolis. Then we got together the next sunday and hung out at her house and it was great. Then she went out of town for another week to Cross Country camp, and I went out of town for a week and a half looking at colleges. Apparently at Cross Country camp she was still head over heels for me, but I guess things changed afterwards. When I got back in town I was only able to see her when there were groups of people, and I was getting bad vibes and she was ignoring me. When we finally got to talk in private she said she didn't want to commit to a relationship and ended the thing. I wasn't prepared for it all, I couldn't see it coming. And it hurts... a lot

But yeah, needless to say losing her friendship is the last thing I want to do, and she has told me several times that she is scared of losing mine. So I'm commited to hanging onto that, but man it sucks. For right now I'm not allowing myself to hang out with groups of people if she is there, because its just so akward and it still hurts(for me at least). But I'm slowly getting over it. The friends thing will work, but its gonna be really hard...

Being single is great for a while. Being in a relationship is great for a while. Then it all starts to suck quite a bit.
