George Bush doesn't care about black people.

I think it's safe to say that most of the poor people in america are black. That's not a racist comment either, it's pretty much common sense, unfortunately.

That's not true. Blacks make up about 24% of America's poor -- twice their percentage of the general population, but they're not even close to being "most of the poor people in America."

Only for repairing Mississippi naval bases. Can you suggest another firm for that job?

guessing at what george bush and his friends think can go on forever. but there is one fact no one can dispute. when you have money like he and his friends do you have no idea what it's like to be in a situation where you can't buy your way out of it.

sickness and injury - george has never ever wanted or waited for health care. he hasn't a clue what it means to want or wait for health care.
fire and flood - he can afford any insurance for anything. and while his insurance is being assessed he just goes to another comfy living area until someone somewhere straightens out his problems and tells him it's ready for him to come back.
crime and punishment - it's a fact that rich people get away with almost anything, not only because they can afford to but because they know people in high places and these people 'sympathize' with them in times of trouble.

the same can be said for our politicians. they don't know what it's like to want or need so they can't or won't act as fast as needed by the needy.

fact!

Don't Vietnam veterans still account for an alarming percentage of the homeless in America?

This is hilarious. You claim you are not being racist yet you assert that it's "common sense" to know that most poor people are black, when this is infact completely wrong. Sounds like you are making judgements based on a racial stereotype...I think many black people would find what you just said to quite offensive.

Okay to continue this wave of unrelatedness...

Michael Moore strikes me as fat, immature, and probally stinky too.

Looking up information as I type this...

The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans says that one in three homeless males is a war veteran, but without precise statistics it's hard to know whether that's true, or what percentage of those veterans served in Vietnam.

Well, a joke... but also not everything you read on the internet is true. Including snopes.com. Of course if you're going to be asked about why you captioned something which has already been deemed racist you're going to try to act like you didn't mean for it to come out racist if you care about your job.

Not that it matters one way or the other because I think it's funny.

Well, it may have been anti-Bush propaganda ofcourse, but the fact remains that, from a journalistic point of view, he brought up tons of interesting and suspicious facts we didn't know about before 'Fahrenheit 9/11' was released. Tell me honestly, have you seen it?

Why didn't we know tens of thousands outraged protesters were throwing eggs at Bush on his inauguration day? Why didn't the press show us this major event? Did they think this unprecedented event in the history of US presidential elections wasn't 'news' enough? Why didn't we know about the 140 Saudis and 24 BinLadens who could leave the country right after 9-11 without any problem, with regards from the FBI? Why didn't we know 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis? Why didn't we know the Saudi Royal Family invested 1.4 billion dollars in companies belonging to the Bush family? Why didn't we know that Karzai, the appointed president of Afghanistan used to be an advisor of the Texan corporation Unocal? Or the fine relationship between that same Unocal and the Taliban! Etc.

They want you to parrot that it's just propaganda. Most people who keep parroting that haven't even seen it. I saw it and I personally thought there were a LOT of interesting parts in it. He's asking valid questions.

But this is actually off-topic.

Maybe because you didn't care to research those topics and events?

Moore knows that the average viewer (you) wouldn't know those things. So he uses this "information" to push viewers into thinking what he wants them to think. There is alot more to what happened that what was seen in that documentary. Moore likes to add hype.

Of course there was loads of unnecessary waffle and 'emotional appeal' stuff, like the whole crap with the crying mother, but there are a few nuggets of interestingness (like those listed by dude above) that make it worth it. Because Moore is rather unelegant and unsophistocated, it isn't too hard to separate the crap and waffle from the interesting nuggets.

If he dropped his condescending and childish presentation, I'd watch Bowling with Columbine and Farenheit 9/11. As it is, the 10 minutes of Farenheit 9/11 where he criticized Bush for staying in the Florida classroom instead of doing whatever Moore thought the president should have done was enough for me.

Note: I didn't stop watching because he criticized the president. But if the guy can't even avoid such immature ways of presenting his argument, then his presentation isn't worth listening to.

Completely agree with the dude above. I think MM is a demagogue and often times a liar. That said, there's interesting stuff that I would've never known without the 'liberal media' (funny how people can dismiss +90% of the global reporting like this btw).

For example: I had no clue about the riots at the inauguration day (after a fuzzy election I might add), and I don't think anyone others outside US borders did either. It's an important fact, right? So where did that reporting go? You say Maybe because you didn't care to research those topics and events?, but do you honestly expect people to randomly type into google 'was there a riot at the Bush presidency inauguration day or not'? We didn't knew this **** simply because noone ever told us. Interesting that you accuse the world media of manipulation and propaganda.

Another thing was how he went around asking R-senators if their sons/daughters were fighting in Iraq. None of them said yes. It's like in the movie Gladiator: in the beginning Russell Crowe feeds his soldiers **** like 'and if you find yourself in a peaceful place, fear not, for you are in paradise' or other lame justification. Later in the movie, at the other side of the propaganda, he realizes just how empty all of this is. 'They're fighting for God, for country, peace, etc (all three questionable)... but my son/daughter is NOT going there under ANY circumstances.'

Mental masturbation.

Again, a more balanced view would've been nice, and I think MM is an annoying little kid. Still interesting stuff throughout.

Our military isn't compulsory, though. Nor is it difficult to understand the purpose of the military. When you go into the military, there is a chance that you will see combat. If you don't want to fight, don't join the military. Now, if there was a compulsory military service, and these representatives' kids hadn't seen (at the least) training, then, yes, Moore would have a valid point there. As it is, he's suggesting that government officials should force their kids to be in the military, and that's not how it works.

As of 2003, Raoul's half-right. I don't imagine that it's changed much.

I compair Moore to extremist athiests. They make a HORRIBLE name for us happy little athiests, attacking religions and whatnot. Moore takes all of the stuff you didn't know, and attaches his opinion to it. A bunch of people egged his car... you think that isn't the first time people have not liked their president?

This whole debate reminds me of a line from a Dave Barry column about oil prices:
