I can't freaking wait for the Tech show. Are you guys gonna run it where any random massassian can be on if they are available and are able?

We're still trying to work that out, but I personally am leaning towards prerecorded as it makes it WORLDS easier. I'll see what Yecti thinks, though.

Winamp, Foobar, even iTunes might play it.

In order to run it properly and let the computer to decode the files easier, hit Alt+Ctrl+Del, go to Windows Task Manager, select EXPLORER.EXE and hit "End Process". It's a sneaky Windows cheat.

Don't do this. Windows has serious issues doing anything at all without explorer.exe running, even if you're not using IE.

Oh yeah, I totally understand that, what I meant was that can a massassian PM you and say they want to be on next weeks show, and then you can tell them how they can? That way, some weeks it might be just you and Yecti, but other weeks you guys might have 3-4 other Massassians on. And it can still be prerecorded.

We're going to have public recording times I think with Skype, and users can call in and talk if they like, as well as scheduled hosts. The only thing consistent right now is that Yoshi and / or myself will always be in the show.

And fear not. There will be MP3s of a lower quality (to conserve bandwidth) available for download off the official website. :)

If winamp doesnt pop up and start playing, launch winamp. Then hit Ctrl+L (for load location). Then copy and paste the above URL into the box, and hit okay.

IF IT BUFFERS FOREVER or anything like that, you probably are behind a firewall that is blocking port 8000, and short of unblocking that port, I cannot help you.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see you got it working. GOOD INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE REST OF YA THOUGH.

So cool to see this really happening, can't wait for the first show.

:D

This is excellent, guys.

I'd love to DJ and/or be on the tech show, the only problem is my availability. Maybe when things calm down (fewer scheduled days at work) in a couple of weeks. Though I'd still love to be on the tech show if you guys are recording at a time that I can participate.

Just get registered over at RTfM and we'll keep you in the loop as to when the first show is going to be recorded. We'll gladly have ANYBODY who wants to participate and feels that they'll have some good input on today's technology. This is an open show by all means. The last thing we want is a weekly Yoshi and Yecti hour. :p
