What's the differance?

The difference is that animals and plants are different. If you cant comrehend that, then I have no reason to speak to you. Animal = flesh, brain, nervous system. They are at least SOMEWHAT aware of their surroundings.

Although you can't dissagree with the fact that plants are alive, they NEED TO BE EATEN OR ELSE WE WILL BE OVERRUN BY WALKING TREES AND VENUS FLY TRAPPING *******.

You see, it's not that we are vegetarians because we care about animals. We're vegetarians because we hate plants.

Honestly, if you feel bad about eating something just because it has a brain and can think, as opposed to JUST as living a creature that didn't develope that... It's stupid. Vegitarian activists are silly.

Give me meat or give me dea-- er... a functioning appendix. And several stomachs. And the necessary bacteria to digest cellulose.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.
And even then, the poulty thing is just a rumour. There's no way to know for certain.

I mean serious dieseases, that farms and such prevent. Mad Cow isn't exactly all that serious, what with killing ~150 people out of millions apon millions.
Uh... what do you mean "just a rumour?" The horrible living conditions of chickens are pretty well documented (Example 1, Example 2). According to Human Rights Watch, the human employees are abused as well at meat plants.

Now I still eat meat, but I aknowledge that changes probably should be made in the industry.

I can't beleive people are so unaccepting of vegetarians.. Its rediculous to the extreme. Just because I dont eat a certain type of food I obviously am "wrong". I'm done with this thread, Im not even trying to convert or change anyones ideas, because I just dont care. But don't tell me I should eat meat, thats just ignorant.

The thing I think is dumb is how everyone is going off on this animal cruelty tangent.

If you don't eat meat for a long time, it becomes unappetizing. That's the main reason.
