I'm sorry... It's not that I'm trying to "build anticipation" it's just that the thought of sticking my hand up there makes me want to puke.

Now the ironic part...

Observe the picture:

Yes my friends.. The can contained two rocks. It's a freaking conspiracy.

I'm going to check all the similar cubbies. :D

Two rocks, and some tin foil.

I'd say the aliens can now read your mind... or perhaps they can't, and the earth has just been saved.

the can, the box, the foil , and the larger rock all combine to form one useful item for your quest.... the other rock is useful much later... you'll know when you find the guy who speaks in some dead language and hands you something that looks like a piece of junk

I don't get though, why someone would cram a can with a couple rocks and a cereal box up into that hole... Any ideas?

You are in a parking structure. To the north is a support beam.

> go north

You are standing beside a support beam. There is something stuck in a hole in the beam.

> look in hole

In the hole you see a box.

> take box

I don't understand "take".

> get box

You get the box. It is an empty cereal box. It is slightly sticky. You notice something behind the box.

> look behind box

I don't understand "behind".

> look in hole

Behind where the box used to be, you see a can.

> get can

In the can is two small rocks and a piece of tinfoil.

> inventory

You have:
empty cereal box
can
two small rocks
piece of tinfoil

Veridian room? Had a lot to do with symbols, iirc, but I did it eventually.

It is very dark in the cubbyhole.
