Borat

Oh my god. That movie was spectacular. The movie had such risky humor, it was awesome. I can't really explain much without ruining jokes, so I'll just say that it's worth the ticket price. The movie was constant laughs. One after the other. It never stopped. Some scenes will make you feel bad for laughing, others will make you feel filthy for watching. The humor isn't for everyone, but if it's for you, see it. (If jokes about Jewish people, September 11th, Homosexuals, Women, Retarded people, Rape, Sexual organs, Masturbation, or Scat offend you...don't see this movie.)

That stuff doesn't offend me, but I've never found Borat funny.

ditto

Comedy Central had some special with him earlier. I thought it was funny for about 10 minutes and then it got old REAL fast. About the only thing smile worthy after that was his commentary.

Damn high ratings.

Well deserved ratings.

The editing though i thought was kind of choppy. It didnt really stick with certain skits as much as i would have hoped

Same. But then, I never liked Ali G either, so I don't know what I was expecting.

I saw it Wednesday (got in to a test screening) and it is the funniest movie that I have ever seen. If you are a big fan of Sacha's work, you'll die laughing. I really wish he would do a 3rd season of Ali G.

Me too!

I read some raving reviews. I was afraid he was going to rehash all the old jokes from his television shows, but I was told not to worry.

I CAN'T WAIT!!! :D :D :D

I wish he would make more 'Funkyzeit with Bruno'. The awesomeness of that is that he shows just how homophobic people are.

No he doesn't. No-one attacked the film, we all just said we don't find Borat/Ali G funny. Or should we not express negative opinions in any thread whatsoever?

Allow me to clarify: Borat (the film) could be a technical masterpiece. It could be God's gift to Borat fans (which, apparently, it is). However, if people don't find Borat funny already then the film isn't likely to change their minds, is it?

Maybe, however if the Film has the freaking power of GOD behind it, it's probably got to be pretty good.

It might. Nitro(penguin) convinced me to go and see it, and I actually was laughing through pretty much the entire movie. Even during the filthiest scene in the history of cinematography part. So all I can suggest is drink a beer and go with a Borat fan. Heh.

I saw this movie with the whole family.

One of my favorite films ever. I laughed until I cried and fell off my seat. I gave this film stars but had to an extra 1/2 star since there was a bear in it.

Dammit I just went to go see it and it was sold out. So I figured since I was at the theatre anyways I might as well see The Prestige again. It was sold out too. So I thought that Saw III might be fun. SOLD OUT. The Departed. SOLD OUT. I was there like 45 minutes early too; it was weird.

The movie is 50% hilarious, 50% stupid and gross. After it all balances out, I give it 7/10.
2006-11-05, 12:27 AM #36
I didn't like it. It was too gross.

It could have at least half-assed a better plot and run with it doing random skits.

Did Pamela Anderson get paid for that or was she actually unaware of who he was?.. I hate to say it but it was believeable if she didn't know.

And if she didn't know... how the hell did the studios allow this to be shown?

If Pamela Anderson was actually attacked by him for the movie, she could sue over the scene being put in major cinema, right? Unless she agreed to do the skit. *shrug*

I'll admit there were some parts that had be laughing.

My friends all laughed at me for the iPod mini part... I have an iPod mini, and it's even blue, like the one in the movie. "He only get iPod mini... they are for girls." :(
