Same with Lethal Weapon 3.

The Last Crusade was great, I'll give you that.

I'm sorry, did you just say Die hard 2 was better than Die hard 3?
That's like saying Star wars episode 3 was not as good as episode 1. It just doesn't make sense.

1. Pirates of the Caribbean. At World's End.

2. The Bourne Ultimatium.

3. Rush Hour 3

4. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

5. Fantastic 4 and The Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Well one subliminal message implied, even though Spider Man 3 was an eye sore, we have these potential awesome movies coming soon to you. Don't give up on the summer yet.

Replace that piece of crap Fantastic 4 movie with Transformers, and you're all set.

Seriously, I even tried to like the first F4 movie, but it sucked even for a cheesy super hero action flick.

No way was F4 an action flick. There was like.. one fight.

Wow I completely missed that.

If you think Die Hard With A Vengence is worse than Die Hard 2... You're just wrong.
nope.
2007-05-10, 6:27 AM #86
Indeed. The title Die Harder should have given a hint to the creativity of that sequel. With a Vengence, ftw, Jeremy Irons ruled.

DHII felt like it fit the Die Hard paradigm better than DHIII. If viewing them as individual, unrelated movies, I would say III is better than II.
2007-05-10, 7:38 AM #88
There were only 3 movies.

So basically you're just saying that 2 was more like 1 than 3. :P
nope.

2 makes me weep every time I see it because I know that people were paid more money than I will see in my lifetime to make that film.

I think I'm as surprised that everyone appears to hate 2 so much as you guys are that I don't hate it. What is so terrible about it? Maybe I'm just not remembering it right.
2007-05-10, 8:19 AM #91
II was more die hard-y because it was one guy against a team of trained mercenaries. III was the Wacky Adventures of Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.

I definitely liked III better but I do see where the argument is coming from.

But I still really like 2.
2007-05-10, 8:29 AM #92
Yeah, it's still a good movie.

It's just not as good as the other 2.
nope.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to say.

What a flaming piece of crap. I mean, I don't regret seeing it, but it certainly wasn't "good."

The whole middle section with all the scene kid hair/eyeliner was completely ridiculous. Up until then things weren't even going that bad, but from there on out it was all a big joke.

There were people walking out before it finished when I saw it last sunday.

Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt this supposed to be an action movie, not a generic stereotypical "chick flick"?

My view: To many EMOtional moments and not enough fighting
The tips at the end of shoelaces are called "aglets". Their true purpose is sinister.

As opposed to the Wacky Adventures of Bruce Willis and Dennis Franz, or Bruce Willis and the other black guy with the raspy voice.

No that was the first movie. The 2nd one had some guy that I dont even know if he's been in another movie/tv show. But his voice was raspy.

Amazing, I managed to derail the spiderman thread into an argument about Die Hard. :P
nope.

So am I the only person that has noticed SAJN has not posted his thoughts on the movie? I think this is the only way to prevent him from posting movie threads. Someone has to see all the movies before him and post early reviews with thread titles ridiculing him.

But honestly, is it that bad of a thing when SAJN posts his opinion. Yeah, it's kind of silly that he ALWAYS makes the first post, but you guys are starting a vendetta against him.

Lay off guys, it's only the internet.

Actually, yes it is.

Yeah, you left out the gay walk and the stupid dance scene.

Also numerous crying scenes.
2007-05-13, 5:37 PM #109
Those crying scenes made me want to punch him in the face and tell him to suck it up.
DO NOT WANT.
2007-05-13, 7:35 PM #110
When Tobey Maguire's face is all screwed up in angst, he's absolutely despicable.

I had fun watching the movie, eh, I didn't expect it to be moving, so it was alright :D.
2007-05-13, 7:41 PM #111
You know, I don't have a problem with Spiderman crying, or any other attempt at character development. Well, except for when every attempt is just god awful, i.e. Spiderman 3.
