I thought the movie was frickin awesome.

Probably the best blockbuster movie I've seen, like, ever.

It's like a new Independence Day.

I really . . . strongly disliked it?

I really thought it was a pretty mediocre summer blockbuster - the special effects and endless cgi just turned into a stream of filler after a while, when I realized there was a really incoherent storyline with too many subplots, some painful dialogue and acting, and a lot of stuff that could have been waaaay better edited (the movie dragged, I thought). Admittedly, I probably shouldn't hold out such high hopes for a movie about giant robots, but let's just say I was disappointed.

(please don't kill me Transformers fans!) :ninja:

I thought it was great, however I agree with the dislike for the up close and personal fast action shots. It gets a little disorienting and hard to keep up with when you're sitting in a movie theater. A lot of the time I really have no idea who in the hell is actually winning the fight until their legs got ripped off or their body separated in two. Also, the other thing that bothered me was the random insertion of the teen geek squad sent in to help the department of defense. They seriously served almost no purpose whatsoever, and I felt that if they had cut their scenes out of the movie entirely it would have only had made it better.

Other than those two things I thought it was absolutely fanfreakingtastical. I loved it, and I was never that big of a transformers fan to begin with, other than the toys I guess. I hope they do intend to do a sequel, though I'm curious what bad guys would be left to still fight, especially considering the death of Megatron.

If you hang around for the credits there's a shot of Starscream flying away.

Also rumors abound about Unicron and Soundwave.

And as history will show, Megatron doesn't just DIE. That'd be easy.

I'm guessing Soundwave comes along and revives him somehow (Maybe he transforms into a submarine? The whole sonar thing would kind of fit his name). I couldn't see them switching to Galvatron after just one movie.

A question to those who have seen the movie. What happened to the police car during the final battle?

This is all the reason I need to not see this film.

So yeah I guess I'm like the last person on Earth to see this movie, but I just got back from it and I really enjoyed it. Thankfully the Harry Potter movie acted as a good little kid filter and thus there were only a handful of annoying 12-year-olds in the theater with me.

Though they pissed my off when the "Cloverfield" trailer came on and everyone was like "ITS GODZILLA!!!!11". No it's not you morons (It's the smoke monster after it escapes from the Island, calling it now)

Well, you weren't the last person on Earth to see it. I just saw it tonight.

It was at least 11 different kinds of kickass. Very entertaining movie. First time in a long time I've walked out of a movie and actually felt good about paying $10 to see it.

I saw it the day before yesterday and enjoyed it a lot. It had that silliness which makes movies great to watch because they are detached from reality. :eng101:

I'm not going to say much, except that Transformers was a horrible, horrible film. I cannot believe Steven Spielberg let his name be attached to this project. Michael Bay needs to have a restraining order filed against him, one that prohibits him from entering the gates of a major film studio. This film made The Rock or Armageddon (Both films which I can stomach, and in the case of the rock still enjoy) look like Oscar contenders. If I hadn't had my ticket paid for, I would have walked out.

You guys are a bunch of ****tards.

That movie was awesome.

Also I can't understand people's dislike of shakycam. I get so into the action because it seems so much more like reality, you don't know WTF is going on and you're like OMG!
