Not seen it yet, but it's clearly OK for Death Eaters to use Levicorpus, just not the younglings.

Well in the movie Luna uses it.

Hm, as for Priori Incantatum, it's not that much of a stretch to think Dumbledore has a wand with the same core, since Fawkes is his phoenix after all.

I cant remember what was said in the book exactly, but in the first movie Mr. Ollivander the wandmaker says very clearly that the phoenix who donated the feather in Harry's wand donated just two feathers and it's "brother" gave him his scar. So there you are.

You wouldnt know a good Dumbledore if he bit you in the penis.

The book Dumbledore is always calm and smiling even in the worst of times (well except in the 6th book when something happens...), but you still know that you dont **** with him which Harris portrayed perfectly. Gambon's Dumbledore seems to always be on edge and ready to snap at any moment. His little flip out session in Goblet of Fire where he couldnt figure stuff out and he ranted about how "maddening" it was totally out of character. When Umbridge interrupts him in this last movie, he acts kind of angry and confused... where he's supposed to just give a smile and let her proceed. There's lots of things like that which make Gambon a far inferior Dumbledore.

This was the first one I've seen, so I can't compare to the previous dumbledore, but as far as he relates to the book character... he's far, far weaker. he doesn't have that twinkle in his eye.

Completely agree.

I went to the midnight showing, and I was impressed. It's probably my favorite adaption, even though it felt rushed and some plot points were thrown out the window. It was a memorable showing, since the film print got utterly destroyed in the projector RIGHT when the gang enters the department of mysteries. The audience reaction was great.

The last book comes out in just a little over a week. I'm keeping away from sites I normally frequent (such as fark and SA) to help reduce the chance of reading a spoiler that some idiot might post. Though HBP was ruined for me when I saw the "snape kills dumbledore" shirt they had on the front page of tshirthell RIGHT when the book came out. That pissed me off.

Hahah, when the gang got to the Department of Mysteries on the showing I went to, the projector messed up and the bottom of the frame shifted to the top. Everyone thought it was a weird special effect at first. :)

And I love Gambondore. :(

I hope the Google main page has the main spoilers in bold at the top :D

They should have M. Night Shyamalan direct the next movie, so he can have his chef d'oeuvre twist by having
Ron Weasley brutally murder Ron Weasley

Then he can retire, and possibly get assassinated by a 14-year old Rupert Grint fan

(1) Maybe it was Wingardium Leviosa (shoot me)?

(2) YES. Harris was the daddy. He was also the daddy in Gladiator. But his son smothered him: Pansy.

Or something.

Yeah, that's why I don't read the books. I heard Harris was the perfect Dumbledore in comparison to the book, but in terms of me watching the movies, I don't really care. I like Gambon's character more than Harris', I can't imagine Harris' frail character getting through the movies.

Sometimes people really say the stupidest ****. I mean, seriously, do you honestly think that because you do not like something, that anyone who does is a ****ing moron? I mean it's ridiculous. Then you try to reason with the person and say, well there are millions who do actually like it, and then their response is something of "Yeah, millions of morons." Seriously, get the **** out. I'm tired of seeing this elitism bull**** in like every single ****ing thread.

All that aside, I loved the movie. Having not read the book really makes me want to now, and I need to catch up with the rest of the books as well. That means going back and re-reading book #4 also.
