So International Gaming Zone is a new website and program for playing old MSN Zone games.

Its in Beta and works GREAT. They will most likely add JK/MOTS but show your support anyways here:

To get more people to the JO rooms, which failed.

And only about 100 players a day was pretty bad by zone standards, so, yeah.

Probably because most games have dedicated servers or their own matchmaking.

The coolest part of the Zone was that it allowed Warcraft 2 over the Internet before the Battle.net version was out.

No one plays Jedi Knight anymore.

And if we do, it's just for a one time thing, or just for kicks (like playing a classic game).

I'm pretty certain that the new Zone will die off, as there's not enough interest to play Jedi Knight again in the first place, there' more newer games. And for Jedi Knight to be even remotely successful again for a month, you need a large fanbase of people returning to play it, which not many of us would want to dedicate ourselves to playing it again.

Massassi's still around and dedicated enough because of some of the (at least semi?) new content on it, and it retains a lot of readers and requires no obligations to spend time and play, like a game would. However, I just don't see it happening for the Zone.

Just another revival attempt. Necromancers.

Whats funny is I can still regularly find JK in a jewel case at any Fry's Electronics in the California Bay Area for $5. There are a lot of copies of this game still on store shelves even to this day.

I believe that my JK discs are backup copies that I made of copies that I gave to a friend (which I borrowed to make copies of for myself) that were made from backup copies of the originals... :P

Jedi Knight: DF2 multiplayer is meant to be played with other people, like any multiplayer game (duh). Not enough people are interested in it to dedicate their selves to it. And if not enough people are dedicated to play on a certain time, the others who will try to play will get bored because no one else is playing.

I remember the Dedicated Server craze with ReT last year(?). One time I logged on the server for 10 minutes slashing walls waiting for someone to come online. Then when someone did come online, I had no idea who they were. So I logged off and havn't tried again since.

The great thing about the Zone is that you usually played with friends, or a clan. Or just sit around and chat in the lobby like I did. Although I'm very fond of those memories, I am no longer doing that, and can no longer do that.

Im not voting for the same reason Anovis isn't.
Also it's a waste of Dev time.
If you want to play JK so bad, set up a game in the game room.
