Well apparently someone else from the JKDF2 community offered to do the actual dev work, but apparently they require 50 votes in favor before doing it.

Not trying to be negative, but I think at this point the only thing that could trigger a JK revival would be if Lucasart's released the Jedi Knight source code and made the game freeware.

Then maybe some of the programmers that lurk around here could update JK with ingame matchmaking or atleast fix the zone links and direct new players to a gaming service that actaully supports JK.

The Zone sucked, everybody who used the Zone sucked at that time or still sucks currently, this is a poor idea and the whole reason the Zone dropped those lobbies is because nobody used them anyway.

Everything on Massassi associated with the actual game of JK has come to an almost complete stop. The editing forum is practically empty, the showcase forum contains a couple posts of JK levels from time to time (one of which is usually Ruthven's Star Gate TC), and the cog forum doesn't even have any active posts in it. We just had an SP level contest. How many entries were in it? This was one of the major JK editing sites in the day, and only a few people actually edit anymore. Most of discussion that takes place now has nothing to do with JK. And you thought he'd get a lot of votes here why?

Because even at the height of the JK community the bulk of the people you would find on the Zone were 12 year old retards with tourettes? I'd rather see anything than a revival of the Zone, and I'm certainly not going to sign up just to vote for a game I fully intend to never play again.

What good does it do if a person who isn't going to use the service votes? It defeats the entire purpose of the poll. They'll make the system, yeah, but the more votes you squeeze out of people the less actual players you're going to have. If it's just to help out a handful of people, why don't they just use the Game Room? If the system is really needed, you shouldn't have to beg people for votes.

They should restart it every 2 weeks.

I was so close to registering, SO CLOSE, but thankfully I read the first couple of replies before I did. And to summary, those replies went something like this;

"I am TourettesBoy12, and although I require no introduction I felt it benevolent on my part to do so. You see, I was the leader of the first and greatest clan on the Zone and the universe. We had only the best players and won every tournament! Even Jesus failed our tryouts! I built 10 JK websites and am worshipped by legions of 12 year olds.
