What's so special about Halo 3?

Has anyone mentioned how easy it is to pirate PC games compared to consoles? There are pirates for both markets, but I'm sure PC has a lot more.

Well yeah but I think thats mostly because it doesn't involve altering your hardware.
nope.

I didn't mean "toys" as in only children enjoy them. I play with legos still, and they're probably one of the coolest things in the world. I'm saying there's a difference between legos and soldering boards. There's a difference between GI Joes and Paintballing. There's a difference between even the ps3 library and the pc library. It's not that the games are more for adults, it's that the skill, involvement, community, and quality is simply on a different level all together.

Depends on your sources.

Plus if you want to pirate for consoles you'll need special tools and items.

I only mention it because pirating skews the sales.

I'm going to disagree with you there kirbs with your sweeping general statement, because, with the exception of the community aspect, I reckon all those factors differ depending on the genre.

Infact I think that consoles are superior in all of them apart from shooters, and possibly RPGs. MMOs are a given. :P

However your general adventure crap, racing [or anything with driving], platformers and beat-em ups all tend to be absolutely horrid on PC in my experience.

nope.

I love the graphics, and i love blowing **** up. The only downfall, is not being to carry more guns. I wast some Nintendo 64 bond first person shooter action. He carried like 10000 guns, HAHA!!!!

It was a minute after yours. Safe to assume he was typing it while yours was being posted.

I know fully what you're talking about. Halo isn't very special, in my opinion it's just another crappy shooter.

Why it's successful is beyond me.

I liked Halo better when it was called Quake.

Halo is just this generations version of Quake but amped up graphics and marketed to people who are computer illiterate...
Trust me with your life but not your money or your wife.

computer illiterate....

just like jk, just like most games, there are many halo modders, even ones going so far to make new content for the original game on xbox. i think that post was unjustified.

One of the first big 'mods' to happen (of course you needed a hacked xbox) was the use of the laser weapon that you could only get shot at with and not pick up. it was used by the 2 really big aliens... i forget what they are called.

since then MP maps and other various things that usually happen in a modding community have created a following for an otherwise played out game.

Quake is not Halo is not Quake.

Halo lacks everything that makes Quake Quake.

Quake has nothing that makes Halo Halo.

+1, and quate is better, the first one is classic, N64 style, by the way, best system ever!!!

N64 is not the way Quake was meant to be played.

And this is why I'd never trust anything this man tells me inside a Gamestop.
