the life of an engineer can be a lonely paranoid life... especially if you set up your sentry in the flag room... sitting alone in the corner with a shotgun shooting at everything that moves... every strange noise

I love driving, I love moving. The concept of people not moving angers me.

Actually I'm pretty much the opposite. I think people should take it easier when driving, everyone's so much in a rush. I also love to point out to my friends in a little game to see if we'd see a car passing us again, and 90% of the time we find them stopped at a red light :D

Currently in TF2, it would be lucky to actually see an engineer when teams are composed of 90% medics.

I'm the exact same. I hate people who block off traffic for the sole reason of they're slow people. However, one thing that irks me is people who label all teenagers as irresponsible jerks just because we drive fast. Know why we drive fast? Because we're always late, because we have so much stuff to do! My days are generally full of crap that I have to be at within a certain time limit of the last thing I was at, and that's generally just enough time to get there if I drive fast.

The driving thing is interesting. Everyone, I mean everyone thinks they are a good driver and that everyone else is horrible. Someone has to be wrong.

Just about everything you get mad about on the road you have done at least once, by mistake. Any time you see an "idiot" driver it's probably just a guy like you who makes a mistake. It just seems often because there are so many people on the road.

Yeah, I've thought about that a few times before. When someone makes a "chain" of mistakes the entire time you're near them, though, they're probably just a bad driver.

1: When people won't leave me alone when I'm in a bad mood or busy.

2: When people turn on their turn signals 2 miles from the place they intend to turn off at.

3: The medic upgrades... medic was my favorite class... now I cant use it because everyone else is medic!

4: When people call a USB Flash drive a "pendrive." What is so "pen" about it?

That's all I can think of at the moment...

But you'd think the mistakes would be spread across all the OTHER people also on the road, not just you.

Yeah, especially when they turn it on before a turn, then pass that turn and turn at the next one. Can be really dangerous if you assume they're going to turn at the first turn they get to (which is reasonable, but people are stupid)

Yeah, that bothers me. I always just call it a flash drive. I don't like when people say "jump drive" either, because that's a specific brand (Lexar, I think), but I guess that's not quite as bad since genericized trademarks are pretty common.

I get super annoyed with guys that think staring at my chest is a compliment, or when they compliment me and stare at my chest while doing it. I know that people look at them, but really? Is it that hard to look me in the eye for two seconds when you're talking?

Also! Guys that talk to you when they're horny... even after you've told them that you're never going to talk dirty with them. Really? Go look at porn and leave me alone.

When people talk about how something or someone is "gay" or "a ***/******/homo".

When people talk on their cell phones while driving and don't pay attention to the road.

Everyone playing as medic in TF2.

i hate the opposite of this, mexican drivers who flip their blinker right before making the turn. You're stuck behind them and everyone is passing you on the right. and it's always the ****ing mexicans who do this, look at them when they finally make the turn, mexican in a beat up 90s minivan, i guarantee it

Yeah, but when someone says they could care less in an attempt to express that they do not care about what is being commented on, it is impossible for them to not care, since saying that they could care less implies that they DO care, which is not the intended meaning. When someone does not care less and is merely expressing it, they in fact do not care less, and it is much less confusing.

Wait, what? I haven't played TF2 for several months. Did they buff medics or something? When I played there were lots of engineers usually.

They've started adding a weapon upgrade system thats linked with the achievement system... the first class to get weapon upgrades was the medic.... :saddowns:

So they released medic upgrades but none for the other classes? Where's the logic in that?

The other classes come later... which is still a bad idea, since everyone rushed to medic for the upgrades.

Don't know whether I should be happy Babel made it a closer game by scoring or hate him for giving me hope of a last minute come back. God bless Torres, though. The kid looked positively upset on the bench when it first looked like we were going out.

Absolutely, the thought of either of them getting the double sickens me. I kinda want Chelski to win the league though, because my hatred for Man U runs so deep, and I can't bear the idea that they might get it two years running. Of course, a tiny part of me's still hoping the FA docks them both 6 points for the brawl and we nick the title just in time! (fat chance)

It's funny how you can live with something for so long and then all of a sudden realize "this is really annoying, someone else must have come up with a solution for this by now".

You know, the moment I posted the reply to you the other day I thought "I bet there is a solution out there, I can't be the only person to be pissed off with this". My computer/internet is so screwed at the moment though it's not really worth me trying to fix it on here. And really, it's at work where it annoys me the most, where I have no control over the setup of my PC.

I consider driving mistakes to be more than "little things that really annoy you" because I'm a cyclist and when mistakes happen it's my soft fleshy body up against some guy in a 1 tonne shell of metal.
In particular round here I get people who overtake and turn left in front of me, people opening doors into me, people who get into the left turn lane and turn right and try to run me over; people who overtake far too close, people who don't indicate at all, people who simply don't seem to see me and pull out of side roads or turn left next to me forcing me onto the curb etc. One of the worst was a guy who couldn't stand being in a traffic queue and decided to pull out into the bus and cycles lane only a few feet in front of me while a bus was driving on my backside, I was expecting to be turned into a cyclist sandwich.

Cyclists annoy the hell out of me.

They ignore all traffic laws (stop signs, traffic lights, right of way, signaling, etc), they take up the whole road while moving 10mph up a steep hill, they use the road when there is a PERFECTLY GOOD CYCLE PATH RIGHT NEXT TO IT, they give you dirty looks when you finally take the opportunity to barely get around them, and they often travel on roads that a bicycle should definitely not be on.

ARGH.

Seriously. I hate How cyclists want their bike to be "treated as a vehicle" but then proceed to do all manner of things that would be completely unacceptable for a car to do.
