Gravity isn't related to mass. The world is flat and everything simply goes down.

This sounds like you copied it from one of jedikirby's stories of midget super armor bench pressing heroism where a cripple beats up a bully because YOU make the changes.

Internetknown or what?

Interknowing someone doesn't mean you really know them.

Rob/fishstickz/whoever, I wouldn't voice doubts about his story at this point in this thread, knowing how frustrating it would be to tell someone about an injustice that happened to you, while you're still mad about it, only to have them tell you that they don't believe you.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

For me it was more the continual following posts that kept adding more and more "oh, and then this happened" type things. I also don't see any injustice done to him. I believe he was victimized by the girl but don't have any sympathy because he put himself in the situation. I'm glad everything seemed to have worked out in the end and he learned from his mistakes. That is the most important thing.

Yeah, but if anything remotely like this happened you, to you'd have posted an epic trilogy of whining.

Surely having his property damaged in front of the police and then the police dismissing it was an injustice? If they really acted in the way he says then they clearly didn't remotely listen to what he had to say and did everything according to her claims. It's that kind of action that causes resentment against the police from otherwise law-abiding citizens.

Well, he said she feigned accident (which could mean it was an accident). I doubt any cop would cite either party for accidentally dropping a game system in the middle of a domestic dispute which could, of course, further inflame the situation.

I guess it's a good thing I'm not a moron, and things like this don't happen to me.

PS, I fail to see how crying about an actual problem and making one up for attention on internet at all compare.

But I understand that being a captail silverspoon you are an expert on problems that don't really exist.

Notice how he stopped posting after being called out so much?

Two possibilities;

This is for internet attention

Something like this actually happened, but his side is bull**** and he's a really huge dick and deserves what is happening or what is happening is being exagerrated.
2008-07-25, 3:15 PM #101
Third option. It's absolutely real and he's pissed off.

But ya know what? We can't know any way. So why don't we just give him the benefit of the doubt, and if you don't like it, stfu?

My point was that if everything is this thread is true, happened exactly as he described, and any unknowns are interpreted in the most favorable way toward his position, it still reflects horribly on him. When you do stupid things, you pay the "Stupid Tax". It's not that I have anything personally against him and I hope he did learn from the experience.

That sounds rather self-righteous of you.

If interpretting his horrible string of stupid and immature decisions is self-righteous then so be it. I mean, given what he started with, how could any of this have turned out any better?

I apologize for not updating this thread in a few days. Long story short, after the incident with the police and removing all the remaining items from my apartment, i cut off all contact with her completely in order to move on with my life.

Yesterday I was served with a temporary restraining order and a hearing date. Her affidavit claims that I was stalking her in the form of harassing phone calls and text messages.

However, the state law says it is not stalking if I have a lawful reason to contact someone (I assume the fact that I have an email from her stating that she wants to remain friends and that I can call her if I want to talk like adults is grounds for lawful contact, as well as the fact that I had all of her possessions still in my apartment at the time she says I was calling her, as well as the fact that she called me just as many times during that time period, and I have phone records to prove it).

Unfortunately, because we were in a dating relationship, her claims of stalking automatically fall under domestic violence and she was granted an ex parte hearing (a hearing in which I was not allowed to be present) and the judge granted a temporary restraining order.

Do any of you have experience with this kind of thing? If I bring my phone records and the email to the judge on the date of my hearing and show that I had a lawful reason for contacting her, and that after that lawful reason (namely her property in my apartment) was taken care of I did not make any attempts to contact her, can I get the permanent order denied?

Quite honestly I have no intention of ever talking to her or seeing her again, but with a restraining order she will have a huge amount of power over me. In just being granted the temporary order, my right to bear arms has been suspended. I want to move on with my life without my rights being restricted, or in fear of her becoming vindictive and falsely accusing me of violating the terms of the order.

What part of sue her *** into oblivion aren't you getting?
2008-07-26, 5:18 AM #110
Slander, defamation, damage to property, emotional distress. You could have a pretty good case. But of course, this wouldn't be "moving on" and would likely cause her to retaliate, further perpetuating the problem.

I can do this too;

Why don't you give him the doubt and shut up if you disagree with me?

Perfectly stated, Rob. Minus the question mark at the end. Which, I guess, means it should have been perfectly querried. I mean, really, this is a forum where different views should be welcome on the topic.

Yeah, it's much worse when it's quotted. I wouldn't do that to you, though. I'd be too scared of internet vengence!
