Hah! I was wondering who would fail the *blatant* sarcasm test. I thought that maybe no one would, but I was wrong. :awesome:

And that, folks, is how his parents met.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

On a more serious note I don't think theres enough space to swing a suitcase not umbrella in most buses.

:P
nope.

You don't swing umbrellas, they don't cause slashing damage. They cause poking damage.
2008-08-02, 1:13 PM #88
You can put more force into a swing.
nope.

Some umbrellas are more than meets the eye...

Have you seen Danny DeVito?

That's a regular sized umbrella.
nope.

Have you seen Batman Returns?

That umbrella doubles as a machinegun.

If a Muslim beheaded someone on an American bus, the press would run with it. They'd run as far as they can.

Exactly.

And I don't think most jihadists would fight the holy war with a knife on a bus in Canada.

Police tape: Canada bus killer ate victim's flesh

Of course not, most jihadists don't live in Canada. And he poses the hypothetical that American media would go crazy if a muslim beheaded somebody here. Since we don't have that case I submitted that the American media did not go crazy when a muslim went on a killing spree in a mall. We did go kind of crazy when a few people that only happened to be muslim did commit a few acts about seven years ago but I think we've grown a lot since then.

Terrorists aren't stupid. Normally they plan out their attacks so they can get a bit more mileage out of their spree than the average emo kid with a bolt action rifle.

I hate the way people tend to go all fuzzy whenever they think about any enemy to their safety. It's not like they are motiveless zombies. It was the same with the whole red scare. All the sudden it's sweeping stereotypes and irrational generalizations that obfuscate efforts to to combat and eliminate the real problem.

The fact the propaganda is so easy makes me not like humanity. Not everyone's that way, of course, but the ratios are bad.

Who's talking about terrorists?

Hmm. Eating the victim pretty much rules out a Muslim.

But the victim wasn't a pig or a cop.
