I've never used, but I believe that it should be legalized for the reasons stated by Freelancer. My best girl friend and I want to try it sometime. Also, have any of you tried Salvia? I'm curious to see what others feel about it. For those who don't know, Salvia divinorum is a legal (so far) psychoactive drug that you smoke.

My friend did Salvia... He said it wasn't a pleasant experience, but it wasn't horrible either. Basically he lost all depth perception and believed everything was covered in carpet. His friend just sat completely still for about five minutes...he was reconstructing reality. Eh...it's something I wouldn't really want to try.

Legal to grow in your yard to make it look pretty, illegal to use as a drug. It's not something you'd want to do every weekend anyway.

Yeah, I collapsed on the floor staring at the carpet and it felt like all the dimensions of space were stretched out to infinity and I existed only in a single dimension. It was pretty cool at first, but it felt like I had been there for thousands and thousands of years and when I came to I couldn't remember anything about the real world. I was sat just repeating the names of all the people around me, so I could remember them. The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes, but it was a lifetime for me.

I'm never doing that ever again.

I was high as **** last night. I felt like everything was cartoony, except for people. I also has skewed depth perception so I would go nuts whenever we got to a red light (Of course I wasn't driving)

My personal experience with Salvia is that it was ****ing awesome...for me. It's not something I would recommend to anyone really or try and push on someone. Me and my friend were taking hits like every 30 minutes, which isn't really recommended, and it was some of the coolest **** I've ever felt. The first hit I felt like I was sitting in front of some Amazonian temple, and a jungle was in front of me and I could see flowing rivers and ****, it was beautiful. Second time was just kind of feeling some swirls and everything kind of was coming to life (but not in a scary way). Third time I was sitting in a love sack and my friend was playing Rock Band, and I could like "feel" sound. I could tell myself "I want to listen to the back of my head", and I could hear different noises and such...

However, my friend's girlfriend tried it after watching me and going "hey, he seems like he's having a good time", and proceeded to scream that she was going to die for about 15 minutes straight while we tried to get her to calm down. That was probably one of the most horrifying experiences of my life, and that was just WATCHING it happen. She described the experience later as like she was an actress acting out a scene and going back and watching it behind a camera. She would do something for like 2 seconds, she would then feel like she was about to pass out for 2-3 seconds, and then saw it all happen again from a third person perspective. This happened incredibly rapidly for about 15 minutes. finally, we convinced her that all of it was a result of taking the salvia, and the more and more she accepted it and pieced together what had happened before, she got control of herself. Scary to say the least.

Things like salvia (along with other **** like it) is all about mind over matter. The quicker you can get someone to realize what they took, it's affects, and that the potentially bad experience they could have is just a result of taking such and such a drug, the quicker they do get over the potentially bad trip.

What grade/potency did you have? My salvia trip was simply a heightened sense of anxiousness. It was argued that I didn't take enough, it wasn't strong enough, or that I didn't hit it right (which is very possible because I've only recently learned how to hit really well with my throat all messed up.)

That's perfectly possible, I find it quite difficult to get a good bong hit with Salvia, it doesn't always burn very well. A jet-powered lighter makes things easier and it's best to have a tall bong (or one where you can most easily judge how much smoke is pulled up).

I only had 60X strength Salvia, which I got from http://www.everyonedoesit.com/ . Apparently you can get up to like 200X on the street, but they don't sell it on the websites and things. That will seriously **** you up, worse than acid.

I prefer to get high on drugs from other sources.

Is LSD really that bad for you if you're careful?

If you put salvia in pure alcohol and let it sit for x amount of time you can get the extract and that is suppose to be the **** that ****s you up

I've wanted to do salvia for awhile, but I couldn't get anyone else to play my last year of undergrad. Definitely not something I'd try without (sober) supervision.

Well, yes and no. I don't really understand people that have either 'good trips' or 'bad trips'. You're going to be tripping for about 8 hours, so there's going to be both 'good' and 'bad' throughout. But LSD will change you as a person. Not better, not worse, but certainly not the same, and it's sort of strange to imagine a point in your personality that you can't get back to. You 'age' but in a direction perpendicular to time.

There are things you see and you know you're tripping and it's all cool and fun. The first time I dropped, we were out on a field and everything turned to watercolours and I was just sat there in utter awe at my surroundings. The scary things are things you positively swear are real. I was sure I'd met my friend and I was sure we'd been talking for ages and ages, but when I went back the next morning I discovered it was a traffic cone. It took me days to convince myself that wasn't real.

My trips are often to do with water, for some reason. I once dropped acid in a nightclub and all of a sudden it got really dark and clouds appeared and it started raining and my only reaction was "oh for god's sake, it always rains in this club!" and it wasn't until later I realised that raining indoors was a bit weird.

There isn't really any way to 'be careful' with psychotropics. You can try to keep away from anything sharp, and make sure you have a sitter (or at least someone in your house/flat/wherever that knows you're tripping. spending 8 hours perfectly sober with acidheads sounds like a real nightmare), but you have no idea what's going to happen and you have no idea what you'll end up doing. We went on a massive hike around the forests around campus (well, it felt massive. we were probably just going around in circles) and came back home and tried to put together some flat pack furniture because the chair was growling at us.

An acid trip sounds just like a normal dream to me, I normally have to spend days reminding myself that what happened in a dream wasn't real. Dreams can be really depressing sometimes
