Clearly you haven't played the demo at Sith Lord difficulty.

Yeah, the higher difficulty just made the game feel dumb. The any way to get anything done at all is to hold block and spam Lightning.

No its not. I can beat Sith Lord without using block a single time. Or hiding behind a box, or anything. You just have to be constantly on the move and make good use of force grip, force push, lightning and your combos. Which feels like playing a sith lord slaughtering through a large crowd.

Matter of fact, I don't think I would play this game beneath that difficulty because I would then agree that you don't feel like a jedi, and it would be all much too easy and arcady.

I'm not really trying to convince anyone, though, this is just my opinion. I found the demo sucked on my first play through, but as soon as I tried out Sith Lord and got the hang of it, I really was having a blast.

Yeah, my second time through I enjoyed it much more than the first: particularly helpful was doing the tutorial which showed me how to use BOTH sticks for throwing things....

Oh god, no kidding. If you're only using one, you're in for some trouble. I found force grip really easy to use effectively. While its not perfect everytime, the engine is good at telling which enemy you're aiming at and helps your aiming. You don't have to spend loads of time moving it around and targetting.

I have to agree that the game feels better on Sith Lord. You can only take like around 5 blaster shots before you're nearly dead.

JO/JA were based on the Quake 3 engine and had no real physics engine to speak of. That's kind of a "duh" right there.

JK's physics engine is better than what's in Quake 3.

No, really.

My first play through on Sith Lord was a big pain, but mainly because I did not expect such high damage. With a good use of jump and strafe its rather easy to evade shots, and with good use of your force powers and most importantly saber combos, you're still a grand force to reckon with.

Well bugger it, I just pre-ordered it from Amazon. I enjoy the smack-down.

My favorite things to do are :

A) Force throw enemies straight up as if discarding them, just to watch them fall back down several seconds later.

B) Force grip enemies, have them grab onto an ally and float the pair over the edge.

C) Open doors by bashing stormtroopers or rebels into them.

I liked taking them high up to the ceiling and then slamming them off the floor. That was fun to see how high they bounce.

I'm finally getting internet at my new place tonight. This is the first thing I plan to download.

The second is Braid.

I don't even see a single resemblance between FU and Creed. Creed's parry-kill system was amazing.

I just finished the demo, and while I've been loudly hating on the game for the past few months it was actually kind of fun, in a trashy way. I enjoyed bashing through doors with the force push. I was *** at aiming my throws, though, and the quick-time thing with the AT-ST took me like 6 tries to get right god dammit

All in all it was better than I thought it would be but I wouldn't pay more than 30 bucks for it, so I'll be waiting on this

Am I the only one who wasn't impressed with Euphoria or DMM? It seems every time I broke the windows (the ones that were quickly covered with blast doors) they broke nearly the same way, not following DMM at all from the looks of it (shouldn't it have broken from the left side if I hit it on the left? Oh, no, the window just shatters instantly...) Might be because the vacuum of space but come on, the only thing that reacted was the doors and the supports that you bend to destroy tie fighters. That's about it....

And I saw 3 different characters in the whole game (while gripping them to see their reaction) The first was the pissed off guy, who was just floating around trying to shoot you, the second was the incredibly scared guy who was freaking out (woah!! WOAH!! I'm falling! help! - and he said pretty much the same things while spinning him around with my right thumbstick.) And the last was somewhere in the middle, yelling a few "help-me's" and that's about it. Could have easily been scripted like normal AI and they could have gotten away with it. In short, it was not impressive. Not impressive at all.... in fact...

TFU...
I find your lack of Euphoria and DMM disturbing.

I'd probably be better off getting the PS2 Version instead...

Argue if you want lol, I only played it on Padawan because I wanted to see how the gameplay was without dying. I'm hoping the higher difficulty levels provide better AI (Which I'm seriously doubting right now.)

Let's hope they cut some of the features out (DMM, Euphoria) just to give us a small taste, and left the rest for the final game. Let's hope.

It's kinda true, but it doesn't detract from the fact that it's fun to wreak havok...

OH THE PUN!!!

Does anyone know a way I can get a physical copy of this? I don't have live or a harddrive on my xbox (i'm too poor). anyone seen it in any magazines or anything?

Grr I want a Wii demo. :(

I liked it. Too bad the demo was so short, though. I thought the lightsabre was sort of lame compared to JA (or even JO).

Also, this could be the first Star Wars game in a long time (ever?) to have a good storyline.

What? KotOR and KotOR II had amazing story lines.

I agree with KotOR. KotOR II would have been amazing had it not been rushed out. It had a lot of potential, but it was broken. Plus the fact that it was all about Revan again, with your character, the exile, as the moving piece. Bleck.

I think KotOR II also specifically referenced Revan as a man. Revan could have been either a man or woman in the first KotOR.

I actually just got back from buying KotOR I&II again, because I lost my old copies.

II is great just for Kreia if nothing else. She's definitely my favorite EU villain, and she was much better than Malak. Hell, I like her more than Palpatine.

Revan's gender and alignment is decided by the player through an early conversation with Atton. Revan is officially male though, and the Exile female. If that somehow leads to a romance between the two in a later game/story, I won't be happy.
