Since early october I've been interested in this girl (you may recall my previous
thread). We were "together" for two weeks, and then she decided she just wanted to be friends for two weeks, then we were "together" again for two weeks, then she said she just wanted to be friends again, and then the night before I left for thanksgiving break (exactly 14 days ago), there were certain... activities.. that took place that led me to believe she was interested.
Well for the first week of break, evidence supported this theory. We called each other a few times, had some long and fulfilling conversations, made plans for stuff to do when we got back to school, etc. Then the second week she just dropped off the earth. We'd usually text each other at least a couple times each day - a funny quote or something silly that happened.*
Nothing.
I texted her a few times towards the end of the week (she was supposed to pick me up from the airport... I had to at least make sure she was going to be there to do that), still nothing. I sighed, figured where this was going, and made other pick up arrangements.
I decided that the ball was in her court. We both got back to school Saturday. I didn't hear from her until Wednesday. She got online once on monday and talked to my roommate for a while (he and I were both online... she just ignored me) and then when she finally did talk to me on Wed it was accidentally (she sent me something that didn't make any sense, then said "oops wrong window." I call bull, but whatever). There was about 5 minutes of awkward conversation, and I proposed we grab some dinner and chat sometime. My goal for this dinner is to pretty much call it off. I'm sick of being toyed with and thrown around.
I had a copy of her schedule for this quarter (from when we were on good terms) and knew she was free today at 5. I texted her around 2 and told her I was free today at 5 if she was, and we should grab dinner.
How dinner went down (times are estimates):
1708: I arrive. I'm late, and not all together accidentally.
1708: We make small talk/greetings.
1710: We grab a table, make idle chit-chat. How are your classes? How was break? etc.
1720: She gets food. I say I'm not hungry.
1727: She returns with food. I reopen conversation with something along the linse of "We left for break, and things between us seemed pretty open ended. I think we should just call it off though."
1732: I finish talking, she responds "Okay."
1732-1740: Awkward silence. I'm looking at her and she keeps looking away.
1740: She tries to make small talk about her cousins dog. I make it quite clear that I don't give a f***.
1743: She puts on her hoodie and jacket. I say "Goodbye." She says "Bye"
1744: She walks away briskly.
So. Rejected again, Single again! I'm lonely, but hey at least I'm used to it, right?
