Was in a good mood until I discovered on of my other fave sites is still down...

Happydud, kudos on calling it off. I've just gotten out of a five month relationship with a girl who pulled similar on me, on a wider timeframe. We kicked off beyond great, we were both on a cloud about a month or so later, she got distant and eventually told me she needed space. It hurt but I decided to leave the ball in her court, she would come to me if it was 'meant to be'. About a week later she calls me, needing someone to talk to and I of course offer an ear, shoulder and the support a friend gives. We pull it back together and do great for another month. Then again things beging to degrade, she grows distant for some days, then an email from me makes her happy again and its great. Then another god damn month later its the same story again. I contemplate breaking it off but have a discussion with her. Things get back and here I'm hoping its once and for all. ANOTHER month goes by and again with the distant, cold behavior.

I haven't spoken to her in a month now.

Deep down, I still care, but I can't be more than friends with someone like that. Not anymore.
