For any rational number c, there exist INTEGERS a and b such that c = a/b. But not all real numbers are rational, cases in point being pi and sqrt(2).

Making the statement you did (talking about real numbers) doesn't tell us very much at all.

I mean the problem, looks like its simple, that we represent the same value with two different decimal representation 1 = .99999, (sorry my tilde key is not working), but then this makes me question, what .33333 is equal to? .34? I don't know, its just confusing, and a damn waste of time to ponder in this bull crap. Seriously though, as long as you know what the context is, and know what you are doing, you can figure it out, and it will never trouble you.
