I heard its really nothing to worry about and isnt any worse then the regular seasonal flu we get every year.

Of course I've heard alot, but this seems to be the first positive thing anyway.

Yeah. That's the truth about every strain of the flu, pretty much. The danger is in the lack of a vaccine. And we don't get one of those until a few people get the flu and don't die.

In a real flu endemic, our stockpiled vaccines do jack squat. They inoculate us against the last big flu strain, and not the one killing us now.

Does anyone realize this same flu came up in the 70s? It's not a big deal. The media is blowing it out of proportion. Probably to distract the public from the economy being flushed down the pooper.

yeah, i am still not too worried. regular flu... 250,000-500,000 deaths per season. swine flu... 160 deaths probably, but only 7 confirmed.

I'm not convinced that a 23 month old child would have the same immunity as an adult. Is it truly a fair indication of the danger of it? Or is this kid just more prone to it because he's young? :(

Surely we shouldn't be that worried about it? I thought normal flu killed loads of people too? :confused:

Just seems to me like a repeat of SARS/Bird Flu/Avian Flu/Mad Cow disease. :ninja:

Hell I literally just came from mexico last week, and I even ate PORK there. I feel great. In fact, probably better than I did before I left.
