What's your next car going to be?

I want one of these. After I move out west, I may sell the MR2 and pick one up. A lot of car for the money. Plus, I like them. :colbert:

I think I'm going to keep my motorcycle for a while, though. I <3 it.

Possibly a Mazda RX8, preferably used with under 40K miles.

I have no idea what you're talking about. :ninja:

Dash, a friend of mine has a Grand Marquis GS. Apparently it has the same engine as the Mustang of the same year, although with a different valve configuration. It's pretty fast, and quite comfortable.

It's a 2003 LS, not sure how close the engine is to the Mustang but it is a 4.6 and moves very well for a car with a 5500 lb GVWR.

I had 6 people in it today and I could still spread my knees apart comfortably, it was awesomeness.

I'm not sure as to my next car. I'd love to get another '73 LTD... or another Prius, if I had to replace my current one. Someone in the nearby area is selling a '68 Rolls Royce... that'd be pretty nice.
I can't wait for the day schools get the money they need, and the military has to hold bake sales to afford bombs.

2014 Mustang GT 50th anniversary edition, ideally Highland Green. As fully loaded as I can afford it. And then I will keep it forever and be like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino.

If it was a new car, probably a Nissan sedan or maybe I'd look at South Koreans if they've improved in quality in recent years.

I still have about 3 and a half years of payments left on my '06 Civic. I plan on driving it as long as possible, so my next car will probably be in about 15 years.

I sold my motor bike last winter and I've been sitting on the cash since. I'm thinking about buying another Jeep, but I'm not sure yet. My wife wants a Nissan xterra.

Good choice :)

That and the nissan 350z would be the cars I aim for when I get a proper job, not new of course :)

Quite happy with my motorbike at the moment (when it's not raining) turns my 1hour+ commute into work via public transport in London into ~15minutes and it's a heck of a lot more fun.

I wouldn't mind a 350Z either. The consensus I've heard is that the 350Z is a bit faster, but the RX8 handles better and is an overall easier and more satisfying car to drive.

My only real concern with the RX8 is the supposed engine reliability issue. Rotary enthusiasts insist that rotary engines go well over 200K if taken care of properly. One problem seems to be that Mazda uses 5W-20 in the RX8 to meet US emission standards. This is only in the US. Everywhere else it's 5W-30, and people say those areas don't have the same problems.

I really want to buy an old (1968-1970) Firebird or GTO and spend a few years fixing it up. I've also been wanting a Triumph motorcycle for the last 10 years or so.

Of course, since Amy lost her job, my 1990 Toyota Corolla is going to have to last a few more years. I refuse to get into debt for a stupid car.

I would for sure buy an RX8 if it weren't for the reliability and mileage issue with the engine.

I would for sure buy and RX8 if it weren't for all the bad things about an RX8.

I think this was more of an issue with Rx7's.. and especially because a lot (all? I don't keep up with mazdar) were forced induced.

It's got about 230 ft-lbs of torque, which is pretty remarkable considering it's a 1.3L engine. 0-60 in under 6 seconds, eh, good enough for me.

Update: my next car will be a Ford GT40 I found derelict in a sandlot. It's been sitting there for years and I don't think anyone knows what it's really worth! Pics soon.
