Dude seriously, get a ****ing life, if you're really that dependent on things like this to make you happy you have much bigger issues than you realize. FGR will release this, and it will be on time; but even if he didn't, he has no obligation to anyone, especially you, to do so. Grow up.

Stop defending him, if he wants to he'll do it himself.
You take this like it's some horrible insult against FGR, I'm simply questioning if it's really going to be out at the said time based on the evidence I have seen. You take it like I just insulted a national hero.

FGR *is* a Finnish folk hero.

Must've missed them. But anyhow, this thread makes me look forward to this, might just as well re-install JK (again). :D

Was the machine gun a toy? Did he consider it a toy? As a reader, I was confused by that sentence, which I think is a good reason for revision

He just RARed up the final version. puh puh pwn3d!

I can't wait for TODOA 2... the one where he fights Mr T!
Lyrics are highly overrated.

He fights Mr. T in TODOA 3. TODOA 2 is the one where he gets fat, then has to work hard to get back in shape then do the exact same thing he did in TODOA 1.

Oh rightt! Then in TODOA 4 he stomps on communism.:neckbeard:

Don't forget that in TODOA 5 the whole thing is completely ruined and everyone wishes that it wouldn't even exist.

There wasn't a TODOA 5. It was weird. It went from TODOA 4 to TODOA 6 and everyone was all "Hey TODOA 6 was pretty good, better than I thought it would be."

I emailed you FGR concerning the submission. As soon as you get back to me with the answers, I'll post it.

FGR, how could you screw up the admission instructions? You're no hero.

I wanted to be stealthy :ninja:

But yeah, the whole junk is about 1 GB in filesize unpacked, the RAR is 316 mb and the ZIP is 452 mb and the upload to Filefront (where the current file is hosted) was really slow so I don't know if that could have caused anything, especially since the final beta RAR uploaded there just fine earlier this week.

Extracting the TODOA.zip I still have lying on my HD doesn't err about anything so I have to download the TODOA.zip on Filefront to see if I get any errors. If not, well, I guess I have to wait to hear the exact error that landfish got.

That's...
That's ten times the size of Jedi knight, jesus christ.

Just imagine how large Ruthven's SG-1 project is since it had a lot more content than TODOA does. :)

Man, now you have me searching filefront for it.
2010-01-01, 12:56 AM #64
Just finished downloading the first Filefront entry, sure is corrupted! The zip on my HD isn't so something must have gone wrong with the uploading process.

If only I could make the ZIP smaller somehow, I tried WinRAR and 7z ... in fact, 7z actually started packing it up very promisingly until it got as large as the ZIP WinRAR had made. Beh.

Ideas, anyone?

FGR, I can host it on my server for the time being. Just email me the final version.

I hope you're joking. You can't/don't ever want to email something of that size. If he could just email it, he would have emailed it to me and there wouldn't be a problem :P

FGR: Is the one on ModDB correct/final version? I can just download that and repackage it for you. (Need the URL though)
2010-01-01, 8:04 AM #69
As soon as the file has been authorized and I've tested that there are no corrupted files inside, I'll give you the link.

If I'm running my own server, I'm pretty sure I know the file can't be emailed. FGR has sent me previous betas via email - linked to another site of course. I'm just offering a mirror if needed.

Attempting to install JK. There's so much dust on the disk.

Yes but I don't get the same satisfaction I get from using the CD I bought like 12 years ago.

Installing TODOA now.
[edit]
Gah, I'm having a 7zip error. It's not letting me extract files to my JK root directory. I had to copy/paste files from another directory for the JK patch, but it looks like that method won't work for TODOA.

JK is installed on my computer at school and I'm on a break right now, but I can't wait to download it when I get back. It looks really great, and it goes without saying that it looks nothing like JK anymore. Congrats and thank you :D
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.
2010-01-01, 12:37 PM #79
This looks fantastic, and sounds great (Except for some voice acting but it's not bad), but some of these "Puzzles" in level 2 are just dumb.
I spent 5 minutes trying to open a door only to find out I can lightsaber it open? How was I supposed to know this with absolutely no prior indication that that was possible? Why did you put a pipe right where I need to jump?
