Also, do the numbers. Say Gold got started having sex when he was 16. He's now *almost 20 (we'll round to 20 for the sake of easier numbers). That means 4 years of sex, which means an average of 5 different girls a year, which is roughly a new girl every 2 and a half months. If he went out every weekend that means he only has to be successful 1 in 10 times to live up to that "impressive" quota of 20 girls by the time he's 20. Doesn't seem difficult at all. Hell if you throw in him having a little money here and there, he could have gotten hookers for some of them.

As for the average being 7 - 12 in a life time, I dont doubt that, but I imagine it's not because of sex being difficult to obtain, but because of people limiting themselves due to morality, marraige, or fear of children or std's. Maybe Gold rides that line of being too stupid to care about those things, but not stupid enough for it to be an obvious turn off to slightly inebriated women.
