hahaha

I don't think wookie is intentionally trolling, I've seen pictures of his Trans Am. He's just not adept at separating political mindset from pretty much.. anything. Or if he is trolling he's been doing this since 2003, in that instance I await the gloating thread on his clandestine democratic tendencies, dislike of the military and belief in gloal warming with bemused anticipation.

edit- Damn, I've done a McHale and made an edit thing appear, abort abort

If you're not aware, scientists have witnessed polar bears having to swim 60 (100 is about the best they can do) or more miles as the ice shelf melts. It's not uncommon to do so. Many people do the same for their pets when they're injured or killed. Surely you can understand that. It doesn't really matter who or what caused the problem. Did he do a "wonderful skit" a few years ago when all of the retarded left-wingers were constantly stating that global warming is occuring because it wasn't snowing where they were? Just wondering if he was Fair and Balanced.

If you'd watch the skit that I mentioned instead of Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck & listening to Rush Limbaugh for 5 seconds of your life you'd know that he ridiculed the other side as well. Either way, it's a comedy show, but I find it quite humorous that he makes more intelligent points than any of the above. Oh & he's been ridiculing Obama quite a bit but I'm sure you wouldn't notice. If your point is to show that there are idiots on both sides, well that simply goes w/o saying. The difference though, is that one side is predominantly getting their information trickled down to them from scientists & the other side is getting their information trickled down to them from Sean Hannity & Sarah Palin who rarely talk to any experts that aren't funded by the oil industry.

It would be one thing if the photo showed that spire of ice protruding from an endless ocean, miles in each direction, but it doesn't. It is purposely portrayed in the manner it is by people who want you to think that the poor bear is in the situation I described as opposed to just hanging out on a piece of ice jutting from an iceberg. Likely, that bear spotted a baby seal and drug it to another portion of the 'berg and ate it without giving it the courtesy of at least humanely clubbing it to death first.

It doesn't really matter if the polar bear in the photo is going to die or not because as Vornskr said, it's still a good representation. If you'll stop watching videos of Ann Coulter showing off her beaver for a second & watch a nature documentary or two on the subject, you'd understand this. We know that these types of things occur due to the ice sheets melting & you don't have to believe in global warming to feel sympathy for an animal that's possibly about to die. You're quite right that this particular polar may be perfectly fine (you can't tell from a photo like this) but the entire point is that this particular polar bear is insignificant (for all we know he's about to be shot with a tranquilizer that will cause him to down, which also happens a bit).

It's just so obvious. Wookie smells a thread that has potential to become political, and he just goes in with one little sly remark he knows will get people going. Then when he's blamed for trolling, he'll just say he's only defending himself from people's reactions. Same thing everytime.

Go in, provoke, react, play innocent.

BLAME IT ON WOOKIE DURP

He gets 50% of the blame. The other blame for ruining threads is all you people who dont' know how to shut the **** up and not give a ****. Jesus titty-****ing christ don't any of you people know to ignore someone?

And don't give me that "we are just replying to his nonsense because it's wrong". Exactly. It's nonsense. And, coincidentally, more often than not he may be wrong. There is hardly anything worthwhile in 95% of his posts in a thread that is worth replying too, because it is nonsense directly geared at pissing you children off. And boy do you guys get pissed off. We all know it, we all talk about it, yet fully understanding that his posts are nonsense, you still find it worthwhile to reply?

For example, Wookie's original posts here were obviously bait. He was waiting for one of you guys to come in. And guess what, he ALWAYS wins when you have STUPID comments like this show up, almost like reflex because Wookie made fun of your views.

Who is more stupid? Wookie, or all you people who consider him completely off his rocker, yet still make it your priority to somehow "beat" him when you realize it'll just happen again.

I agree w/ much of what you said. However, I don't think that many of us are actually getting angry w/ him, even when we say we are, because we all realize that he's just trying to push buttons. He's attempted to use my brain rent-free on several occasions & I won't deny that he's succeeded on one or more occasions but I think replying to his posts has become a form of entertainment (an unspoken game if you will). I don't know what he said to get himself banned but I personally like how he gets me & others in to a discussion that we probably wouldn't have gotten involved in if not for his his controversial comments. Like someone else above said, it doesn't really matter if he's as fanatical as Ann Coulter or if he's just a miniature Steven Colbert because in the end it's just good fun.

Are you saying he's not a retarded right winger? I don't know why that would bother you unless you are also one, secretly.

What aren't you telling us?

Just because something is correct (or generally viewed as accurate) doesn't mean it's an appropriate or smart thing to say.

This

I said in my original post that 95% of what he says is nonsense. He may or may not be a retarded right winger (more likely he is). But just because he is, doesn't mean that you need to point it out and really put in motion the start of a stupid pointless argument. When it comes to Wookie, we are so aware of his tactics that I would say nowadays it's these stupid followup comments that start the pointless arguments, not his. His actions are almost a given nowadays. That doesn't change that his actions are clearly bait, drip with conservatism, and might be worthless to the discussion, but if we can't act accordingly by now, than it just makes the place generally more hostile.

It's not good when you can look at a thread title and go "Gee, I wonder where this is going and *insert the usual suspects* will push it there", and you are right most of the time.

I know you didn't call him a retarded right winger, I'm not mad at you. I'm using "you" in the general sense, not the specific sense. I'm saying "you", the general poster. But like I said above, you can take a guess at who "you" actually is.

I'm not mad really, I'm just somewhat saddened that we've gone through YEARS of this stuff with him, and it ends up the exact same way every damn time because of the same usual people. And people then bring into the chat "omg can you guys believe Wookie..." as if it is some big news and landmark occasion that he's being a fool.
