Tibby, I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. A llot of us have grown up with massassi, and so we're a little older as a ommunity than before and I think a lot of us would be annoyed by our former selves if we ran into them on the forums today (if that sentence makes any sense...)
So I tell myself that you're probably a bit younger than most of us, you're still in the stages that we've grown out of, and honestly, you're not as bad as you used to be. You're right in that regard. I think you try a little too hard, which, again, many of us did in the past.
There's nothing inherently wrong with this thread - there used to be "postcount" threads all the time. The real problem is that it associates you with your old behavior.
That's why I'm going to give you a little tip, from this old lady and PR pro (ha!). Actively trying to change your image is good - it shows a level of self awareness. However, if your problem used to be attention seeking behavior, immaturity and the tendency to try too hard, you're not going to show many people you've changed by proclaiming from the rooftops every chance you get about how different you are from before. That shows even more immaturity, which is the heart of the problem. 2 steps forward, 3 steps back.
The first time I saw you say it in a thread I thought to myself "you know, maybe he has changed a bit." The next several times, it got old again.
Remember, Massassi is, at heart, a bunch of crotchety old people yelling at each other to "GET OFF MY LAWN!"
So the PR move? Chill out. Don't try to prove anything, don't keep talking abou thow much you've changed, just let others figure it out for themselves. Some won't, but they'll look like douche bags when everyone else realizes. It's a much slower process than what you're going for, but it's a lot more effective.

Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.
