I consume things before I hate on them.

CM likes Twilight (The book)?

My sister dragged me to see it...
woot!

I've seen the first movie in a barter with my wife that we'll see Rambo V next. I had no idea what the story would be about at the time - I only knew it's a romantic movie of some sort (of which I am rarely a fan of). To my surprise, I did not particularly hate it.

I even went as far as proposing we see the next one because the CG wolves on the posters looked pretty cool IIRC.

I was much less fond of that second movie. I think I even facepalmed a couple of times due to the extreme mental retardation of the plot, not to mention that I had also thought that it featured a rather wicked masochistic relationship between three main characters. Which would not have been half as bad if the main target audience would not have consisted of teenage girls.

They're not nearly as horrible as a lot of people make them out to be. The acting is just really really bad.

I think the movies would probably be okay if it weren't for the acting, since there's something there that speaks to millions of teenage girls (and Koobie & CM)--but the BOOKS are just straight-up terribly written. Even Stephen King had to call the author out on that ****.

They are pretty much middle school student essay level.

I'd rather read through JRR Tolkein's Mental Masturbation and some rings I guess series again than finish the Twilight book I started.

Why would you start one?

Well, actually, I think it's commendable that he did. Otherwise he would not be able to make a valid judgement of it. For example, my judgement of the series is based solely on the two movies that I've seen.

While we're on the subject, has anyone seen the brief (rather biased, hehehe) synopsis of the Twilight book New Moon?

I guess!

I picked one up in a Borders one time and read a random page. It was literally like reading fanfic.

So in other words I wouldn't watch a preview of Avatar and then decide I didn't like it.

I was starting to think I was the only person on here who thought that way, Rob.

I should hope not, it would be kind of ridiculous to live that way.

What if Britney didn't pass on this song?

Gaga ftw on this one.
