I hadn't really considered that. I'll buy that argument.

What the **** is the point of even having that song on Seasame Street anyway? It's not teaching them anything they'll understand.

Does Sesame Street teach them anything at all these days? :/

You'll have to resurrect Mr. Rogers, and even his undead, reanimated corpse would still provide children more about the benefits healthy living and power of learning than whatever is on TV.

Philip Glass is awesome. String Quartet #5 and Violin Concerto #3 are some good pieces.

Katy Perry's more inappropiate work is only a youtube click away for small kids. for the other examples provided, would they even recognise Ice T? How would they find Billy Crystal's standup? 5 year old installing azureus?

Jiggling cleavage isn't sesame street and never has been. Disney examples are not an apt comparison as Disney aims for a marginally older age group.
2010-09-25, 11:38 PM #89
Doesn't matter. The rationale is the same. If they see someone on tv and they like them they're going to supposedly look up their stuff on the internet.

:psyduck: Just because those perticular examples do not work, does not mean that they would not recognize someone else that may have done some "risky" stuff.

That, and you cannot say for sure what kids know, maby that 5-year old's dad likes "city slickers". We all know billy...

if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){
  do other babe}
else{

I feel this is worth quoting simply because as Ghorg points out: Sesame Street is not Disney.

Women have breasts. Sometimes they jiggle. Better shield your child's eyes forever so they never see what a human being looks like.
