http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2012/05/white-house-edits-history-to-insert-obama/1 I'll just let the article speak for itself.. How sad.

Now if Obama used this space to actually blast the actions of potential Republican Presidental canidates then that might be scandalious. :)

He's very obviously using it as a cheap trick to further his re-election campaign.

He doesn't have to, he could do nothing and those ****ing idiot extremists at the GOP would managed to lose.

So it lists important things that past presidents have done, and compares them to things that the current president is doing. Leave it to the GOP to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Tibby isn't left-wing. When it comes to American politics he's just retarded (more so than other subjects).

Now I'm worried, because I was assuming the GOP didnt have a chance in hell either. I might be more politically out of touch than I thought.

woohoo, turn Obama's being egotistical and spinning his way into history as a means to take a stab at the GOP for being racist. You guys are great.

The Republican presidential race was a race for second place. Mitt Romney is going to vanish after November 2nd, never to be seen again.
Also, with the Tea Party revolution having resulted in perhaps the worst congressional behavior in American history, I don't think the reds'll be sticking around there either.

-Republican governors might manage to make it, though. 'Cept for that one guy in Wisconsin or wherever that's getting a recall election after, surprise, turns out he's a tyrannical jackass.

There's no indication that this is the case. You just would like to believe that cause it justifies the action.

What kind of catch-22 bull**** is this? So Triscuit (among others) says it's not a big deal, yet you insist that it is a big deal, and that people like us say it isn't a big deal just so it won't be a big deal. **** that. Let's turn that garbage around and point it where it belongs. You people are the ones who are insisting this is a big deal, that way it justifies making a big deal out of yet another thing that no one in their right mind would give a **** about.

Here's an indication that what Triscuit said is the case: What he described is exactly what is happening.

God damn, what is it with you idiots getting all bent when Obama does something new?

They'll do well, and lose.
America will get another right wing nut job for a president, things will get worse, and possibly another financial collapse.
I love how America doesn't have a functional socialist party, it's doomed.

I never said it was a "big deal" just that it's a cheap trick, and honestly, kind of pathetic.

And I'm not "all bent" over it. Really, look at yourself. You're the one that seems to be getting angry.

Obviously, I didn't read them all, through. But yes, I understand it's "just a small blurb at the bottom." What you don't understand is that small blurb is obviously a calculated move. They're not stupid. They weren't going to go posting **** all over the Bio's like "Forget what those other presidents did! Obama invented the light bulb and cured yellow fever!" But they'll do just enough in a calculated fashion so they can get his name out there, but when the backlash comes they can take the exact position you're taking and say "What's the big deal? It's just a little blurb at the bottom to compare past presidents to what's going on now. Silly Republicans getting all butt hurt about nothing."

What's really telling about all this is the TIME FRAME that they chose to do it. Why not update the bios 2 years ago? Or right when he came into office? They just "suddenly" got this brilliant idea and ran with it, just in time for the election even though it's completely unrelated? I don't think so.

Also, it should be noted that yes, the GOP is genuinely racist. Sexist as well, and classist, and infamously nationalist, and generally a legion of ignorant bigots.

-Fiscal conservatives I have no problem with, but there are none in the GOP right now. Well, except for the Randian lawn gnome white supremacist anarchist. Man, I'm using a lot of words ending in "ist" in this postist.

Waah, Obama is campaigning. What an evil ****. How dare he steal the GOP's god-given exclusive right to spout self-congratulatory garbage in an effort to win an election.

How could Obama bin Laden, as a patriotic citizen of Kenya, CHANGE HISTORY by framing the accomplishments of past presidents as a part of an on-going legacy?? How much more atheist socialist fascist and black can he get before the good honest and hard-working GOP congressmen impeach him???

It's truly disrespectful and shameful how the TOTUS made a mockery out of our God-given right to free speech. Publicly stating your opinion is a right reserved for the white man.

The presidency is an ultra-competitive position. Anyone that has ever applied for or attempted to move in to a competitive position understands that an ego & a little bragging is necessary to succeed. Besides, there's nothing contraversial here--the information given appears to be correct, so far as I bothered to read.

I think that Obama will be re-elected. I think that while Conservative politicians may have no trouble pretending that they have no problem with the false Conservatism as well as the Mormonism of Romney, the Conservative voters will. Here in France, Sarkozy recently suffered a defeat for much the same reason--he pretended to be further right than he actually was in an attempt to pick up Le Pen's voters (the equivalent of the American Tea Party) & failed (apparently the right has access to a bull**** detector). Any Evangelical right-winger that reads more than 5 words about Mormonism will insta-**** their pants.
