A smart watch? Think anybody is going to care about a 50 year old smart watch? It won't even turn on.

I agree. Smart watches today don't appeal to me. And I do like mechanical watches. I don't imagine it cost much but a long time ago my dad gave me a Russian paratrooper watch. Now, I doubt it was any sort of official deal but you had to unscrew a cap from the watch to wind it which kept it water proof. Well, I was swimming in the ocean in Panama and when I got out of the water the cap was open. Kind of sad but your comment reminded me that as relatively recently I found the same or similar watch among some of his old belongings. I just wound it up, I'm going to see how well it keeps time. I do believe it has tritium luminescent markings. We'll see.
I'm pretty tough on watches mostly because I always where them and I frequently work on things myself. I've essentially destroyed to pretty nice Seiko Kinetic watches. I hope to refurbish them someday as the have sentimental value and would be nice to pass on.
Because of how hard I can be on watches I've mostly switched to G-Shock. About five years ago, after damaging my second Seiko, I was looking for a G-Shock. I happened to be in a Walmart and found one that recharged with solar and synced with the atomic clock via RF. That's my go to "work" watch. My wife had to settle for a job in a department store (another conversation) but due to great discounts and sales I ended up with two more. One I purchase because of the plastic band which is good if I'm doing electrical work. The other is a suitable dress watch but that can take some plenty abuse if I happen to find myself working on something with it on.
My other watch is a pretty one my wife bought me a few years ago. Less practical and no lighting to read in the dark. I only wear it on certain occasions. It's a Kenneth Cole (doesn't mean anything to me) and it's mechanical and self winding.

Yeah, we have a store here called Give Me a Five. They basically sell anything returned to Amazon and stuff like that for five dollars or less. People find smart watches in there all the time. I bought my son a pedometer watch deal that's pretty nice and he wanted. Only thing I see wrong with it is the backlight doesn't work.

Well, First Ladies seem to do their own thing. The nonedorsement makes me like them better. Early Trump endorsers are mostly dead to me. If you're willing to endorse in the end, I get it. Early on? Horrible.
