Well, if they did, they'd only need to take over 1/6 of the entire continent. Most of the Chinese population is crowded into the Eastern 1/6th of the country. We did a population density conversion in my Geography class a few years ago, and, somehow, we came out with 16 people/square ft. (It doesn't sound right, though.) Just drop some non-nuclear warheads on them in that area and they'll still suffer heavy casualties.
Ok, after typing that up, I actually think it was kinda pointless.
