Its better live. The solo ran about 7 mins a quite a few times.

Length of a solo isn't always good. If I had to listen to 7 minutes of that solo, I would cry.

Well, you sorta have to like Radiohead.

No you don't.

I absolutely cannot stand Metallica but I like their solos.

We really shouldn't be comparing Metallica to Radiohead :-P.

Meh, call that a solo if you must. I guess I'm used to solos like classic rock..

I dislike MOST classic rock solos... I still love Led Zep's solos though... those are sexy.

I enjoy most post-The Bends Radiohead. I don't really like the Bends that much.

I have listened to Muse a couple of times, it's pretty fun.

Radiohead is really a good group, in my opinion. They are compelling to me, somehow. I normally listen to jazz, but I listen to Radiohead pretty often while I am not listening to ever increasing numbers of 30+year old classics.

What are you listening to? My favorite solos are ONLY classic rock.

The Eagles, Boston, Dio, Led Zep, Ozzy, RUSH, Lynyrd Skynyrd. How can you deny the fantasticalicisism of those guitar parts?

I'm not saying they're bad in terms of playing ability and technicality... but when it comes to melody and emotion, 99% of those solos dont do it for me. I dont listen to songs anymore just for the solo (I admit I used to). Now, any solo instrumentation usually turns me off unless it's a voice.

My favorite solo still remains Whole Lotta Love....... errr... or maybe the live version solo of The Song Remains the Same...

While Radiohead is a decent band, and have a few decent songs, I can't quite fathom why people like them so much. My girlfriend absolutely loves them, but I just don't get it. I wouldn't consider them on the top of any of my lists, not even close.

Its just different tastes. I don't understand why people can't understand that some people like different kinds of music then them. It always has to be some argument with music, for some reason.
